Nice French Press, easy to clean, makes a fantastic cup of coffee
My normal coffee brewing is a quick K-Cup or two in the morning. On the weekends I’ll get out the coffee grinder and brew a whole pot at a time. Both of these are legitimate ways to make coffee in the morning but the quicker the making the less full the tasting. K-Cups are ok, a pot of drip coffee can be decent but bar none the best way to make a flavorful cup of coffee is a French Press. It takes a while to brew from grinding the beans to heating the water but I use the French Press when I want to take the time to treat myself and my wife to a fantastic cup of coffee.This French Press is pretty nice. As you can see in all of the pictures there are not very many moving parts but the carafe is of a very high quality and the plunger and screen are well done.Even better, it comes apart easily for cleaning as you can see.I added some pictures so those that are unfamiliar can see the process. You add ground coffee directly to the carafe and then pour the heated water in and mix. Pop on the top and wait.When ready you slowly press the plunger and pour out a delicious cup of coffee.Fantastic really and mostly that has to do with water and beans but this French Press works perfectly as designed. No negatives at all.I enjoyed the process and the results.

I absolutely love my Bodum Caffettiera French Press! It’s so easy to use, and the 34 oz size is perfect for making coffee for myself and guests. First of all, the product listing says this French press has a plastic carafe, but the one I received definitely has a borosilicate glass carafe. I’m not complaining, though – I just revised my plan to make this my travel cafetière and will likely take it to the office instead.I’ve owned various French presses over the years, but Bodum and French presses will forever be synonymous in my mind, and probably in most people’s. This one is attractive with its bright apple green lid, knob, and handle. The carafe fits snugly in its frame (unlike another French press I have with an annoyingly wobbly carafe) but slides out e Sikh for thorough cleaning. The lid has a gridded filter to catch any stray grounds before they make their way into your cup. And most importantly, it makes a great cup of coffee. The plunger moves smoothly and the filter does a great job of catching the grounds and keeping them at the bottom of the carafe. The handle makes for easy pouring, and the “spout“ on the carafe produces a dribble-free stream of coffee that goes into the mug rather than down the carafe and onto the counter.This French press also works wonderfully for brewing ground cacao, and I’ve been putting it through its paces making cups of rich, dark chocolate.
