Tea and the British seem to be inseparable in our perception of English culture. When BODUM was asked by the British Tea Council to develop a new way of brewing tea we were rather proud. We set out with the goal to make an innovation in tea drinking and the simple BODUM tea-brewing system was born: boil water, place your preferred tea leaves in the stainless steel filter, pour in the hot water, let steep 3-4 min. or to your preferred taste and press down the plunger. The brewing process has stopped – no need to remove the filter – no mess – no burned fingers, only the true unforgettable and delicious taste of your preferred tea. The clear glass makes the infusion visible at all times, making it a very attractive table piece. Everything can go in the dishwasher, the jug (without the rod and lid) can go in the microwave.
Brews tea at preferred strength without a need to remove the infuser
Heat resistant borosilicate glass, stainless steel lid, strainer and plunger
Patented system stops brewing when tea is plunged so tea is not bitter
34 oz. capacity
All parts dishwasher safe

Whole leaf tea without a big mess–yay!
This modern-looking teapot is perfect for steeping tea in the leaf. That is, it doesn’t go on the burners. It does its job admirably: tea leaves go in a strainer, which does into the pot. Instead of a plain cover, there’s a plunger–essentially this is a tea version of the coffee plunger method. Clever, simple, and makes wonderful tea that’s brewed to the intensity you desire. Wonderful, useful gadget for tea aficionados. I make two full mugs in the morning in this teapot. Just two tsps of tea leaves yields a strong brew–and with minimal mess, no gunky tea, either. Highly recommended.

    Favorite tea pot
I love this teapot. I owned an older version of it that lasted for years and years until I accidentally dropped it on concrete. This new version is definitely an upgrade. The plastic seems to be a different texture. Hopefully it Hold up and not stretch as much as the other one did. The centerpiece that holds the tea is also designed a little bit differently. I think in the temp to get less leaves in your final drink.

    I highy recommend
This teapot was such a good purchase. I bought one from a different company and was not happy. The basket for putting in tea leaves was terrible to wash. It was a very fine and cheaply made metal. It slowly came apart and I would cut myself when cleaning. This teapot is awesome. The basket is made from a heavy metal and is a breeze to clean.

    Needs a better infuser
Is teapot is lovely. The only gripe I have is that the perforations for the infuser should have gone farther down. I am forced to make a whole pot of tea if I use the infuser that comes with the teapot. The tea will stop infusing if the plunger is all the way down even if there are perforations all the way to the bottom. I don’t know why they designed it so that we invariably waste half a pot of tea. I will be forced to buy a separate infuser and skip using the infuser/plunger setup.

I especially like the large size
This tea press is a great way to brew loose tea and is large enough to share a cup with a friend or enjoy a refill. Just a quick rinse for cleanup.

Lasts forever and easy to use
I have had the Bodum tea pot with a black handle for over 20 years and just accidentally broke it when I hit it on a sharp corner. The replacement arrived in just one day and looks and feels just like my old one, except the mesh is now metal with rubber rim instead of plastic. I actually like the new version because the water seems to be going through the metal mesh faster, and metal won’t stain like the white plastic did after a while. The pot is super easy to clean and allows you to precisely control the strength of your tea brew. I don’t like too strong tea so the fact that I can capture the leaves in the bottom of the metal container and stop the brewing process is very appealing to me.If you drink a lot of tea, get this pot, it will last you for a long time and will save a lot of frustration.

We have been using a Bodum teapot for about 10 years. We used it, washed it in the dishwasher and used it again and again. Finally one day the handle fell off. We replaced it with this one, it’s a good pourer. A good size. Easy to clean. The main improvements on the older design are a stainless steel strainer that will not stain like the old plastic one and it also fits the teapot with a rubber seal.We bought this teapot from the Amazon Warehouse Deals and so it was about $5 cheaper. The teapot was perfect, new. Only the box was a little ripped.

This teapot is more than advertised. It is lovely to look at and holds more than it looks like it could. It is durable and wonderful and will not break easily. Love it.

I had an older model of this tea pot. This newer version has a much better strainer the fits snugly and allows all the tea to drain without falling out. Much easier to pour and to clean. The handle disconnected from the glass pot on my older one, so I hope that has been improved as well.
