Not as good as I had hoped
I purchased a bag of the “Balanced” roast which is said to be medium/light. The flavor was more medium/dark. I don’t like dark roasted coffee, so this was kind of a letdown. I didn’t think to save the bag to check the date, but the coffee also tastes bitter and stale to me. The beans themselves seem to be of questionable quality, as there are many broken pieces in the bag. Maybe I got the bottom of the batch.This is not the worst coffee I’ve tasted, but it most certainly is the the best. I really hate being wasteful, but I am literally having a difficult time finishing the bag. I’m considering dumping the rest and moving on to my preferred brand, which costs about the same. It is rare that I write a bad review, but I feel this needed to be said.

nice coffee
I have always been a fan of Blue Bottle. They offer reasonable prices for the beans, and I like how they come with instructions and the backstory of each bean. My favorite part about Blue Bottle is that the beans come roasted and ready to grind, so I can use them whenever I want without losing flavor.

The best quality beans, roast, freshness, and flavor that I have been able to find. There are no better coffee beans that I know of than Blue Bottle’s.
