Well designed product
This is the best cold brew coffee maker. It is incredibly well designed. Many great features that make it stand out from others. The silicone rim on the bottom is a nice touch- no dinging it on the counter top or sliding around. There are two lids- one for brewing and one for storing. The cylinder for the grounds is all metal- zero plastic. The rim/seals are all silicone for a tight, durable, leak-free fit. Itâs the perfect size for the fridge and the glass is top quality. It pours well without dripping. Easy to clean with a brush. I liked it so much, I bought a second for a friend. She also raved about how great it was.

Gift for a Friend
This is my second purchase of the Bean Envy pour over. I have been using mine for a couple of years and really love it, so I purchased another one for my friend. Itâs super easy to use and clean up, and in my opinion, makes my morning coffee taste fresher/cleaner than when I use a traditional coffee maker or single cup brewer machine. The carafe is sturdy, and keeps the coffee at a good temperature for me. The filter is easy to clean and maintain, and I do not get any coffee residue in my cup. The cup markings on the side of the carafe are 6oz each, so I usually brew to the 2 cup mark for a standard size cup, or to the 3 cup mark to fill my commuter. I really like the Bean Envy pour over, and thats why I bought one for my friend. Itâs an excellent value for the price, and I would definitely recommend and buy again. Hope this helps!

Really great, just need to understand how to use it
This is a really great coffee maker, I just add coffee and water and then set it to forget it. The next morning I have coffee. I chose this because of the simplicity. I am not a coffee drinker, I drink coffee for the energy not for the enjoyment.I see that some people say that the coffee is weak tasting despite adding a ton of grounds and waiting for more than the recommended time. This may happen when not all the coffee grounds are saturated, I use a chopstick to stir the grounds around to make sure that every ground is touched by the water. If you just add the water in quickly, some grounds in the center or bottom will become packed and never touch water at all.Some people are getting a sludge at the bottom of their coffee. The recommendation is to use coarse ground. At that point if you’re still getting sludge I recommend to add the grounds to the mesh strainer and then shake it over the sink. That way you are forcing the grounds that are fine enough to pass through the strainer to pass through before you even start the brewing process.I can’t speak for the taste, whether it’s weak, strong, acidic or bitter, i have no idea. I think that all coffee tastes bad, I add a ton of milk to the point where I don’t notice the coffee.I don’t know why people are saying that it’s easy to clean. Because I spend a quite a few minutes running water on the outside of the strainer to get the remaining coffee grounds out. That might be due to me using pre ground coffee and they’re smaller, so easier to get stuck inside the strainer? But honestly that’s not even a deal breaker.The design is so sleek and simple and I hate burning hot coffee that I just can’t imagine having any other coffee maker.I just tried it with actual beans that I ground myself instead of the dunkin donuts preground coffee. The taste is immaculate. Well not really, I still don’t enjoy coffee all that much. But the less acidic taste is definitely apparent, went down smoothly. Definitely buy your own beans to grind or at least buy some higher quality preground coffee, not dunkin donuts.

Pros of this product:1) super easy to use, only took me 2x to get a superior cup of coffee and that was only because I was learning how to achieve the correct coarseness of the beans and water temp. But this maker is so easy, takes less than 5 minutes, follow the instructions and it is full proof2) affordable and toxic free coffee maker with no yucky chemicalâs pouring into your coffee. Also no electronics that can just break on you(reason #2 is why I bought this product in the first place)3) takes up minimal space on your counter4) Comes with a reusable coffee filter which is not only cost effective but environmentally friendly and also isnât toxicCons:1) does not keep the coffee warm(I am a busy mom of two kids so this doesnât bother me, I just throw it in my warming mug and it is fine) but if you are a hot coffee snob you will not like this2) small coffee maker. The 20 ounce is perfect for me because I am the only one in my house who drinks coffee but if more of my family drank it, it might be kind of a pain and when I have guests I have to make more that doesnât exactly stay warmThe cons were why it got a 4/5, but overall for me, I love this coffee maker, it makes the smoothest, most delicious cup of coffee I have ever had, it is easy to store and clean, toxic free and wonât have mechanics that just break on me that require replacing. Plus they say they have a lifetime warranty if the glass breaks.I love this maker and it is my coffee maker for life! Highly recommend. I also found it worked great with my tea kettle and electric stovetop so I didnât need to buy anything additional

This was an expensive purchase that I would not make again. The metal strainer works well. The carafe, on the other hand, will dribble coffee all over your counter no matter how slowly or quickly you pour. Absolutely horrible experience. Would definitely not recommend this to anyone, except as a joke gift that you give to someone you donât like very much.
