I have to say, I absolutely love this little thing. It’s super easy, and it fits on any of the shelves in my fridge, so it’s always got a home. The mesh basket is delicate, not fragile, so you have to be careful when cleaning it (can’t bang it on the edge of the trash can to knock out the grounds), but it’s also a great way to do cold brew.I used to use a gallon jar in which I would put the measured coffee grounds and water, then strain through a filter, and pour into a clean milk jug we kept in the fridge. I’d prep it Saturday, pour it Sunday, and that was our coffee for the week. That’s why I’m a little disappointed at the actual volume of this thing. I don’t think it’s a gallon, though to be honest I haven’t actually measured. Here’s what I know about the volume: I filled a 32 ounce thermos with ice two times, had two pint glasses with ice, and one tumbler with ice. I feel like it’s about 20 to 24 ounces shy of a gallon, which is one more day of coffee. So I have to brew more often. However, I can’t take a star away for the size because the design is brilliant. I love the way it fits in the fridge, I love the way you just take out the basket and it’s good to go. The spigot doesn’t leak, and pours at a pretty decent-but-not-too-fast pace. Also, and this is petty thing, it isn’t ugly, like the weird milk jug with brown water in it. Lid fits nice and firm. The plastic is surprisingly thick/feels durable. The bottom is slightly slanted towards the spigot, which is a nice touch. It could be slanted just a tiny bit more, but there’s no way to avoid having to tip it up to get the last bit out, so it’s fine.I love it. I’ll probably buy a second one just to have on hand as a backup, as sometimes companies like this that make niche products for fads like cold brew disappear when the fad dies out. Though cold brew has been popular for a long while now, so who knows. Buy one!

Fits Nicely in Fridge. Bought a 2nd to Swap Each Day.
Every morning I setup a new jug to brew on the counter for 24 hours and move yesterday’s completed brew to the fridge for drinking today. One full jug is perfect for my wife and I for a full day when iced and diluted a touch.I tried several coffee brands but have settled on the Amazon Happy Belly French Roast and the taste and price are both excellent. Store bought and coffee chain cold brew both taste terrible in comparison.

Buy coffee filter bags though
Overall this is a nice product and good value for the price. I don’t love the steel filter cup so I’m removing it and using a few large coffee filter bags that I will steep in the tank. Steel filter leeched a lot of coffee ground particles and took forever to fill the tank by adding water through it to saturate the grounds. Grounds werent fully saturated as filter sits partially above water level. Spout pieces are easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning while maintaining good seal. Skinny, oblong shape keeps fridge space usage to a minimum

I had been wanting to make my own cold brew for a while, but I used cheese cloth a few times and it felt too difficult. I love how easy and fast this makes it to have cold brew. My concern was that the cold brew would taste plastic-y, but it hasn’t at all. Definitely recommend! The nozzle is durable and the strainer’s coffee grounds capacity is pretty large. The only downside is that the lid is v easy to take off. I wish it had more of a click into place mechanism, but it’s still a great value overall for the money I spent.

I have been cold brewing for 12 years and have tried several methods. I am finding this container to be the easiest and most space saving.I wanted to share my findings and tips for use in case anyone finds them helpful:Please make sure to wash all parts in warm soapy water, rinsing thoroughly to ensure you don’t leave a soapy taste before use.I prefer to use filtered water, but that is your choice. When assembling, make sure the spigot is attached tightly, but not so much that the washer is indenting.I have found that you don’t want to fill the filter any more than halfway before putting into the “carafe”. When you do insert it, do so slowly to allow the water to start saturating the grounds. Stir them slowly (I use a chopstick) to ensure all grounds are saturated. Then, add grounds to no more than 2/3 full (filter), gently stirring the grounds.A couple FYIs: I have used espresso grounds successfully in this filter. There will be slight “sediment” but the texture is more like the crema of a hot espresso shot. I don’t enjoy cold brew grind as I have yet to find one that brews strong enough, even dark brew varieties. I prefer just regular grind or espresso grind to reach the strength that I prefer. Also, I make a sweet cream mixture of 1:1 sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk shaken well and poured right over the coffee and ice and stirred.

We bought this to replace a smaller cold brew maker that we kept in the fridge. We kept running out and this was the perfect solution for two daily coffee drinkers. It doesn’t look big coming out of the box but it holds a lot and doesn’t take up much room in the fridge. I like the design of it. I don’t totally trust that the lid is on super tight but I pick it up by the base so it’s fine.
