I did not order the Bamboo Rolling Tray for its intended purpose – instead it will be used as a candle, jewelry and cosmetic tray in the en suite bathroom. The bamboo wood is a nice color and well constructed. The skull motif fits in with some of our other decor. Good value for the price.

I got the round one. It really is the perfect tray, or it could be. It’s the perfect size and the weight keeps it in your lap. The layout is good, with features I need, in the order I like. The problem? The cut out sections are rough. You can see and feel the tool marks used to make the cut outs. They are not sanded at all. You can see the path of the tool. You aren’t getting everything back up off of this tray no matter what. The edges, top surface and back surface are all perfectly smooth. It makes me sad. The surface you need smooth isn’t, and yet the other surfaces are, so it can be done. I have no idea if it can be sanded and smoothed out or not. I don’t know anything about bamboo. If at least the largest section was smooth, this would be perfect. This is a serious oversight on an otherwise great little tray. The price is good too! Fix it, and you’d have a winner.
