Keeps soap elevated in shower
Had a “matted plastic spaghetti” pad before that was only a little better than soap on the tile. This keeps the soap off any surface so it can drip dry between use. The plastic pad seemed to retain water and black mold.One thing I wish was that the base runners were on the short side so that water underneath could drain away.

Gets Black Mold – Can’t Clean Off
These look nice and they drain well enough that your soap doesn’t get mushy. All of that is great, except that they start growing mold and you can’t get rid of it. I soaked them in a container with straight bleach and it removed some of it, but still left mold stains and it just came back later. Spend the money on teak wood so you’re not showering with a bar of soap that touches mold.

Took a chance ordering this soap dish, mostly because of the wood design and low price. I am shocked by the great quality, not to mention it was two for $11.99.
