This is EXACTLY what I was expecting and looking for.I discovered this size of Mason jar one day at a local store. I was looking for something to make a bigger quantity of sauerkraut. I bought it. I realized I was using it for everything I needed a slightly bigger size.What this is:This is the real deal. I went for my 64 ounce jar and realized it was not usable because I had soybeans fermenting it for miso. I thought I would run out to the store and just buy another one. No can do. There were none in stock at the two local stores. Next best thing was to check Amazon. I was shocked to see I could buy two for a few dollars more than I would have paid for one. It is a great size and wouldn’t mind having another one on hand.Upon arrival:I receive two authentic Mason Ball jars with two wide mouth lids. They arrived in great condition. Wrapped in bubble wrap. Not broken or chipped.The size of this:This is a half gallon sized jar. 64 ounces. 8 cups.What I love about this:It is taller and not so stout. Takes up less space in my fridge this way. It fits nicely on the shelf next to my drinks without taking up a lot of space like a stout jar.A Widemouth lid fits this! I loved this also when I discovered it. No special sized lid. Just a wide mouth that I have plenty of on hand.5 stars- this is an authentic Ball Mason jar. The real deal. Comes with the two lids. To buy two is saving money. I think I paid around $15 for just one at the local store. This was 2 for $20 at the time of purchase.

Nice quality jars
Nice quality and with the 1/2 gallon canning jar are just perfect for milk, juice or mixers for parties. Love these with the hard plastic lids found on Amazon with a handle.

Great jar for making vanilla extract
I have been making vanilla extract in the tall, long neck vodka bottles but it is nearly impossible to get the vanilla beans out. I purchased these jars & transferred my vanilla to them. Was a little work but worth it. Recommend these jars for making vanilla extract.
