I love this yerba mate cup. I got the 12oz stainless steel one. It looks great, feels great (light but sturdy), and it holds the perfect amount of mate. I was second guessing getting the 12oz, thinking it was going to be too big, but it is just the right size. This cup keeps your mate hot for a long time. I have to add a splash of cold water just so I can drink it in a reasonable period of time (thatâs a good thing). I donât know anything about the outer coating peeling off (as reported by some others) because there is no outer coating on the silver stainless steel cup that I purchased. Iâve had several mate cups/gourds in the past but I will never go back to using them after buying this cup. Iâm not sure how the lid will hold up, hopefully it will because it really helps to keep the mate hot. I will report back if there are any issues.
