Great color, texture and size
I wanted solid black mugs for my coffee cup tree this Halloween season. (Yes, I still have a coffee cup tree that all my guests like to use). These cups are a true black inside and out, they have a soft matte finish, and hold about a traditional cup and a half of coffee. They microwave safely (no hot handles) and have washed well in the dishwasher. You just have to be careful how you hang them (if you have a coffee cup tree), as the base has a small white area showing the brand. But it is not visible when cup is set on a flat surface.

The mugs have a pottery type feel to them, with a fine textured matt finish. Wide base, very stable, they might be 14oz if you filled them up to the rim so that you couldnât carry them, but very happy with my purchase. It can take a LONG time to find just the right mug for that all important first cup of coffee!!!

Handsome
These mugs are well made and large enough for just the right amount of coffee to âstart the engineâ (if you drink coffee you already understand). Just an added note, the rims are not exactly even all the way around, the rim is wavy. This gives the mugs a âhand madeâ appearance. The thickness of the clay is consistent with mass produced items of similar sort, not thick like earthenware. Light, dishwasher safe. I like these mugs.

The Right Choice
These are nice solid, sturdy mugs for a good size cup of coffee. I can fit three fingers in the handle for a steady fully loaded cup. Love the color, they don’t seem to stain and are dishwasher safe. These are not lightweight mugs, nor overly heavy, but maybe not for dainty hands! Love them!

Perfect mug shape and size – but slightly lacking in insulation
After searching far and wide, I settled on these mugs, and I’m really happy with how they look. Slightly rustic/homemade looking, but smooth to the touch. Good weight and size, slightly larger than your average coffee mug, but not gigantic. My only complaint is that the cup gets pretty hot from having coffee inside it – which means that heat is coming from the drink, so your drink cools down a little more quickly. It’s a very slight nitpick, and I would still get these regardless – but it’s something I noticed right away!
