Best Coffee So Far
I did not think coffee off of Amazon would be this good but it is! The beans are dark so I was worried it would be to bold for mebut it is very smooth with a great taste from start to finish. I highly recommend you give it a try!

Prefer Bel Canto
I love the Allegro brand Bel Canto beans. The price went way up, so I decided to try the Itslian roast. I will not buy this product again and will spend the extra money on the bel canto.

darker roast – great for espresso
Have bought this coffee for years. They have now phased them out of all Whole Foods stores and broken off contract with Allegro.This makes for an excellent espresso. Taste is velvety chocolate, caramel and toffee flavors.

Nice deep rounded flavor.
Since coffee is one of the most sprayed crops in the world other than strawberries perhaps, I’m glad I was able to find the organic version of this.

I was buying these coffee beans for many years from Whole Foods as they seemed like the perfect flavor and strength for me, strong and robust, and less bitter than the French dark. In the last year or so, Whole Foods decided to make their own label and have all the same flavors Allegro once had (spoiler: Whole Foods’s Italian roast doesn’t taste the same and I didn’t enjoy it as much). So once I found the good, old stuff was still being sold on Amazon, I decided I’d continue my routine coffee order!

Great morning coffee
This is the only mass-market coffee we have used that tastes like the Italian coffee you get in Italy. You may be able to get an Italian roast from your local coffee store, but if you want to order one online, this is the ONE.We’ve tried buying Lavazza and Kimbo coffee beans online but they are usually old and stale due to the shipping and storage time it takes to come from Italy to the U.S. . We have found that as long as this Allegro coffee is fresh (based on the date), the Italian Roast has an amazing flavor. Also, we have tried it in milk drinks like lattes and the flavor is really good. Usually, the coffee experts say you need a true dark “espresso roast” to make a good latte, but this medium dark roast from Allegro works great for us.
