I am so glad that I found this coffee again – on Amazon. It is bold yet smooth. Whole Foods discontinued it and their store brand is bitter and leaves an after taste. Glad to be back to Allegro.

It does have a slight burnt smell and taste. Just didn’t smell like fresh coffee, had a slight stale smell, a little old. It was delivered with only a few weeks left on expiration date, but I don’t think that was the reason. They lost me.
