Handy stencils for latte art or baking
I received this “DOITOOL 5Pcs Stainless Steel Coffee Decorating Stencils, Metal Foam Latte Art Templates, Reusable Barista Cappuccino Chocolate Templates Coffee Garland Mould Cake Decorating Tool” recently so I could dress up the lattes and cappuccinos I make for company. I’m utterly terrible at making *actual* “latte art” and thought maybe I could compensate with some “sprinkles” instead!Upon receiving this pack of five stencils, I went to work on converting my first coffee into “coffee art (with sprinkles”). Well, it didn’t quite work out as expected, but some of that is probably me and my lack of experience. I’ve not used any stencils with my coffee-art endeavors until these, so I’m sure there’s some practice involved. So far all I’ve really been able to do is get the general shape of the stencil image, but without the nuance that will definitely require practice to achieve.These are pretty great in that they’re stainless steel, so they’re easily washable, take up little room to store, and won’t be a problem if they get wet! I don’t expect to use mine for baking, but at least 2 of the 5 stencil images (the non-coffee-specific ones) would be great for decorating baked goods, and depending on what was being baked, the other 3 might work as well! (Coffee cake, anyone?)In any case, I like having these stencils in my drawer of random cooking accessory items. For the currently listed sale price of $12.59 ($13.99 minus 10%), to me these seem like a decent value that I am happy to recommend.

These templates allow you to easily add a bit of art in the form of a dusting of cocoa or cinnamon on your hot drink of choice.The templates are well made with no sharp edges. They are a reasonable size. They are easy to clean, durable, and easy to store. The images they produce are fairly generic but nice.Overall, it’s a quick and easy way to add a touch of style to an otherwise unembellished coffee drink.
