A company with a social conscience, but bland coffee.
The company profile made me really want to support them. Their coffee is just disappointing. Opening the bag there is almost no aroma. Bringing the coffee produced little aroma. Brewing the coffee produced little aroma. Drinking the coffee produced a bland taste that turned bitter. I am disappointed.

Under-roasted, very sour
with fine grounds through a french press this coffee tastes like a lemon was squeezed in it. with course grounds it tastes like hot water. Theres nothing more annoying than spending 50 dollars on a 5lb bag of coffee only to find out it tastes bad and there are no refunds.

Everything I like in a coffee, Great packaging, absolutely delicious. My new go to coffee. Normally I like wicked Joe, 8 oâclock 100% Colombian, this is much better than all of them and is a true light roast..

Always Fresh
I’ve purchased from Gobena a few times now, and I have to say this is my favorite coffee! Wonderfully aromatic and fresh when you open the 5-lb package. The coffee comes in a bag which has a check-valve vent to bleed out air after use. The bag of coffee is shipped within two cardboard boxes – one inside the other for extra protection. I prefer a light roast and Gobena has the courage to actually sell a light roasted coffee. Other coffee roasters tend to stick to the popular, over-roasted coffee bean which has become ubiquitous in modern day coffee houses and sales online. I encourage you to try a light roast coffee and Gobena in particular.

A way to make your day!
They sent me ground coffee instead of whole bean at first. When I told them of the mistake they apologized and sent me a package of whole bean coffee as I ordered right away. I donated the ground coffee to our local sheriffs department to enjoy.The coffee is mild and smooth! Great flavor and enjoyable all day!So glad I tried this coffee!
