Thoughtfully designed
I purchased this a few months ago and have used it a few times daily. I still occasionally notice what a fine tool it is.It is very pleasing to handle. The weight is spot on and well balanced. The finish on the handle is smooth but retains the feeling of wood.I would not hesitate to give this as a gift. It has a very elegant feel to it and I get the impression it will last forever.

Better coffee everyday
I was using an inferior plastic tamper prior to this and it was my first metal one. I figure for the price, what could go wrong? Well, this works wonders and ramps beautifully. My shots are much nicer and full of rich crema. I am blown away at the quality here for the price. The metal base does unscrew from the handle for cleaning if you are wondering. Everything is smooth and polished and has a good weight to it. I would have paid $20 for this no hesitation.

Quality product for its price
This is a great tamper for the price. I have an inexpensive espresso machine and so was reluctant to splurge on accessories. Unless you want to buy those spring tamper, which costs more obviously, this is will definitely do the job. Fits my portafilter nicely and is heavy enough. Definitely an upgrade from those plastic scoop tampers. Will improve your coffee workflow.

Durable & great tamper!
Excellent tamper for my espresso machine. Beautiful handle and itâs so strong and sturdy! Very easy to use and great price! Love the color of the wood handle as well. Itâs a perfect size for my morning cup of espresso! Cleans very easily as well and tamps perfectly!

Nice tight fit, great weight, looks professional too
Perfect weight and size, I am a bit concerned that the peg that screws into the wood handle is rusty but obviously it’s new in the package and was shipped that way so maybe since it doesn’t touch the grounds it is a non issue. I decided to keep it and use it anyway. I like the weight and snug fit. the chrome is very easy to clean.
