Simple, well manufactured, sealable*
I bought this container because I was looking for something sturdy that I could make airtight. As other reviews here have already stated, it comes with no lid gasket of its own. However, as the lid is exactly the same standard 70mm as a typical mason jar top, I easily found some flat, 3mm thick silicone gasket rings that fit perfectly flush with these lids. You’ll need two of them (6mm total thickness) in order to mate snuggly with the lip of the container. I performed a water leakage test and it passed marvelously. Next, I’m gonna drill a small hole in the center of the lid and install one of those adhesive check valves so I can place herbs in there and evacuate all the air with my chamber vacuum sealer in order to keep them fresher longer (hopefully, the vacuum doesn’t collapse the vessel!). I think I’ll also affix a strong neodymium magnet to the bottom with some 3M VHB tape so I can easily stick a bunch of these cans to a steel plate on my pantry door. So, yeah, should this thing have been perfectly mason-compatible? Of course. But at least there are decent workarounds for sealing for not that much money. I hope this information helps someone thinking of making a similar purchase.

Came quick from China!These jars made out of stainless steel are better than expected. Strong, well-made, tight lids, and the amazing thing is that they got here almost a full month before the expected delivery date. I was surprised.

Good jar
This jar was heavier on the bottom than I expected. Not a bad thing. Would be great as a survival jar. Keeping tea in it and it has kept mice out while camping! Ordered more.

Not real odor proof
Lid doesnât screw on very tightly. Has no o ring or seal. I had to add bead of sealant around it and then it was useable.
