Work well
The mesh is the right size for a regular grind coffee. This is for half gallon mason jars and while it didn’t seem like it held enough coffee for as dark of a brew as I like the coffee came out very nice and rich. Plan to pour the water in slowly, it takes a bit to saturate the coffee and have the water strain, small price to pay for a rich tasting cold brew. The mesh is easy to clean, but a cheap toothbrush may be helpful.

Works like a charm
So I bought these to start making cold brew coffee and they work great. I got the bigger ones because I like to make a large quantity. The filter is really nice. It holds in all the little tiny sediment from finely ground coffee. You need a large mason jar to hold these.

Great Multi Purpose Strainer
I bought a couple of big hot/cold carafes with removable strainers to make tea. The strainers were metal with holes and a plastic knob to screw in at the top for removal. The strainers’ holes were too small and it took forever to pour the boiling water in. Then trying to screw a plastic knob over the steaming opening was painfully impractical resulting in the strainer falling back into the carafe and splashing. I took a chance and bought these 3 mesh beauties. They fit the carafe openings perfectly. They filter out even the leaf bits that usually accumulate at the bottom. The water flows through the mesh without hindrance. The only tricky part was removing the strainer full of hot wet tea leaves . . . I tied a cotton string to use like a sling with a loop around the strainer and a loop on either side to pull up on. After emptying the leaves, the strainers go into the dishwasher. PERFECT.

Easy to make
Works ok. The mesh is pretty fine so it seems to have trouble steeping.

Multipurpose, new favorite
These filter very well, nest compactly (I have a tiny kitchen), and work great for coffee as well as all my herbal teas and infusions. Easy cleanup. Stores right in the mason jar. Handy to schlep to office and back. Love these, might get the bigger size next!

I love these for infusing tea in mason jars. The strainers are sturdy and don’t let little bits of tea leaves through.

Very good product, sturdy
Works very well. I use regular ground coffee, so I do get the finest bits that come through, but it not much. If you use course ground coffee as you should for cold brew, you should not get anything coming through.

Works great in half gallon mason jars
Purchased these to make cold brew coffee. They work great for that purpose. I clean them as soon as the cold brew is done and they clean up very nicely. They fit perfectly in the half gallon mason jars, which is why I purchased them.
