Always choosing these
We’ve been using our Hario V60 for over 6 years and it is best complimented with the OEM coffee filters for them. There’s nothing else that can compete the quality of them. We don’t have the paper taste in our coffee since we blanch the paper filter with hot water prior to putting the coffee in.

Doesn’t add a taste to coffee and good size for single pour over
This brand of filters doesn’t add a taste to coffee. This particular size, which is larger than the smaller size, is a good size for single pour over because the wet grounds don’t escape if it gets tilted.

There is virtually no difference between the tabbed and untabbed filters
For a long time I used the untabbed V60 filters from Japan because that used to be the only ones available. Since they switched to the tabbed (which they fixed after the clogging/drawdown fiasco), I’ve used the tabbed majority of the time. But there are times when I’ll pick up the untabbed versions (at a much higher price), and when comparing the cups, there is very little difference. If you know how to brew properly with a good grinder, then you can 99% of the time alter your pouring/grind size to get the same drawdown/cup quality.So my advice? Just buy these. They’re really great and the most economical, and there really isn’t enough to gain by paying extra for other filters. I’ve tried them all as a barista/roaster in specialty coffee. At the end of the day the only things that matter are your coffee, your grinder, and water. Filters matter somewhat (for goodness sake don’t use the brown ones – just DON’T), but tabbed or untabbed? Not significant enough.

Perfect for cone shaped; took 2 weeks to deliver.
Fits cone shaped (not wedge), single serve, pour over coffee maker. Must fold the cone filter edge before use. If water is boiling hot and you agitate the filter in any way other than leaving it sit and drip then the sealed filter edge could melt and all coffee falls through into the cup. Folding the sealed edge prevents that. Typically pour over water shouldnât be at 212 degrees so I try to wait a few mins after boiling or turn off hot water kettle just before the water boils. Donât own a fancy thermostat controlled hot water kettle. For some odd reason this order took 2 weeks to arrive.

Good filter, smaller than youâd expect
Works great! Iâm able to make pretty good coffee as a novice. However, it is a bit smaller than youâd expect; thereâs roughly a half inch space between the edge of the paper filter and the top of the Hario v60 filter, so it can get a bit tricky making more than one cup of coffee at a time.

Recycle filters
These Japanese made coffee filters are the best! I am sold! However, for those of you who are thrifty, you may want to consider the following: After I have finished filtering my favorite coffee grinds, I empty the grounds out of the filter, then carefully flood the filter with cold water to remove all traces of grinds…then put the paper filter back into the ceramic or plastic filter (designed to handle the filter style). It is now ready to brew another cup of coffee..later today…or tomorrow. I use each filter at least three rounds of coffee. Try it..
