This was my first bag of decaf whole-bean coffee. I bought it to make the switch from regular caffeinated coffee. This coffee makes me feel awake, but more mellow than regular coffee. I usually would have ordered a light to medium roast coffee before, but this one surprised me– even though it is dark roast, there is no chalky, burned, bitterness that I have tasted in other brands’ dark roast. I has a nice mouthfeel, pleasing smell, and a smooth flavour. Absolutely recommend.

I am very pleasantly surprised with the Subtle Earth Organic Swiss water process decaf bean. My intention was to purchase a quality decaf coffee as I am wishing to eliminate caffeine. This coffee has a fresh, full, rich flavour. It’s much better, in every way, than any other decaf I have purchased. It has been an easy switch from caffeine to no caffeine.

This is great coffee for cold brewing, plenty of flavor without bitterness. Wouldn’t know it’s decaf except for the lack of caffeine-jitters. For a long time I’ve been buying it monthly through subscribe and save but sadly it keeps going out of stock now and my orders can’t be filled. One star removed because of ongoing unavailability which has forced me to search for another brand that offers a low-acidity water process decaf. If product becomes consistently available again I will bump up to 5 stars.

I love this coffee!!!!
I have stomach problems and needed to use a decaf/low acid coffee…since I love coffee so much I didn’t want to stop drinking it so I tried most of the low acid coffee’s out there and it came down to 2 that I really love…Simpatico and this coffee….the reason I wanted to switch from Simpatico was because the decaf is not organic and I am chemically sensitive as well so I wanted to go completely organic/ Decaf/whole beanand this fit the bill…it’s not as dark as Simpatico but it has a wonderful smooth, rich flavor…I also found that drinking it with Almond milk really helps my acid sensitivity as well….the price is less expensive than most and it well worth it…I didn’t find it that oily but that doesn’t bother me at all…I understand that the oil is common with the low acid coffee’s. Enjoy!!!

I just finished the first package of this coffee and I have more ordered because its the best decaf I ever had. The store where i buy my coffee went on strike so i had to find some somewhere else and I am glad i found this one. its tasty and not bitter, its just right, I like the fact that the decaf process is done without chemicals and its organic and fair trade. I really enjoy it, Thanks

This is a great coffee! I bought coffee from speciality coffee shops for many years and didn’t think I could find a really great tasting coffee from somewhere like Amazon at such an amazing price. This coffee checks all the boxes and the price couldn’t be better! I will be ordering this coffee for as long as it’s available. I have both the regular and decaf and I love both!

Finally…Delicious Organic Decaf Coffee!
Normally we purchase our organic decaf coffee beans at a small coffee shop in Montreal, Canada (we live in New York State near the border of Canada, so we visit Montreal frequently) because we find it very difficult to locate flavorful organic dark roast decaf coffee, despite years of searching. Due to the stay-at-home orders and border closures, we have been forced to search for a new coffee source since we canât get to Montreal. During a recent Amazon search I found this organic decaf whole-bean coffee, so after reading other reviews, I decided to try a bag. Wow! What a lucky find!! This coffee is exactly as described…medium-dark roast (which proved very flavorful), extremely fresh, water-processed decaf, PLUS itâs a fair trade product sold at a fair price. Our order arrived promptly (even with the recent delays due to the Covid virus) and was well packaged. As soon as I opened the package, I was greeted with an amazing, rich aroma, and the cup of coffee it produced was equally delicious. Some reviewers expressed reservations since this coffee is not âSwiss Water Processed; however, I am unsure how much of a negative issue this is, but it certainly doesnât impact the quality of this particular brew. We grind our beans rather fine as we brew our coffee with a single size Melita filter, but I imagine any brew method would yield a great cup of coffee from these beans. I would highly recommend these beans and I will definitely order this coffee again.

Hard to find product surprised me with excellent quality!
I travel full time and one of the downsides to it is that I am constantly searching for quality foods. Coffee has been an even greater challenge because I have removed caffeine from my diet but want quality, organic, whole-bean coffee. I almost always have to compromise on one or more of these desires when it’s time to buy another bag.So, when I found this product, I didn’t hesitate to try it. Admittedly, I did not have high hopes that it would be fresh at all. More often than not, when I successfully found organic whole-bean decaf in an enclosed bag in a supermarket, I got home and opened the bag to discover old, dry beans despite being well within the “best by” date. If that’s their best, then, no thanks.Upon opening the bag for this product, I was immediately hit with a wave of fresh coffee smell before I had even looked in. Upon finding the beans freshly roasted and visually oily and yet not oily at all to the touch, I became excited like a child on Christmas morning to get a cup brewed and in front of me.It didn’t disappoint. The flavor is rich and satisfying. The resealable bag sealed back up nicely. And, I find myself already looking forward to tomorrow morning. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I’m glad I finally found a source for coffee that I can get no matter where I go. Will definitely be buying all my coffee from here from now on.UPDATE: I have bought about 7 bags now of this coffee over the last 9 months or so. It is always great and very consistent. I’ve recommended this coffee a LOT.
