I bought this specifically for (hot) tea. I tend to knock things over a lot, and I needed a tumbler so I don’t accidentally spill my drink all over the keyboard. It works well for me. It keeps the tea super hot, to the point that I need to either add ice or leave the lid off to let it cool down. I’ve not tried cold drinks in it yet. I love the lid, and it is definitely leak proof when it’s slid closed.The tumbler is easy to clean, but the lid is a bit more complicated. It needs to soak in order to be able to wash under the slider. When the oils from the tea build up on the interior or lid, I just soak them in denture cleaner. I use 2 tablets and hot water. It sits overnight and then I rinse and it looks like new.

Mug is fantastic! Keeps my coffee hot at least as long as my Yeti mug! A fantastic value, absolutely would buy again! Very happy with the cap thingy, should last for a year or two I’m guessing, and then I’ll keep the mug part as a glass to drink out of around the house and shop as it can fall and the only thing that will happen is it will get a dent instead of shattering into a thousand sharp shards. Oh, fits in the cup holder of my Tesla just fine.

You get what you pay for. The cup gets hot to touch when the content is hot. It is not well insulated. Returned purchased a Tervis and am very happy.
