Lid is basically stuck on
This is going to sound crazy, but this cup’s lid is so insanely hard to get off I make a mess every time I go to clean it. I have to use all my strength plus some just to get it off. I have tried everything to make it easier to get off as well. It’s a great glass and the lid is really nice. I enjoy how you can use it as an open hole and a straw option, but again…you need the strength of an ox to remove the lid once it’s on. Because of that I give it three stars and because of that I hardly use this, unfortunately…

Glass cup is getting me to drink more water
I ordered this cup because I found that if I can see the water, I’m more likely to drink more. I don’t need to have it insulated, it just needs to sit on my desk and remind me to drink more water. I used this cup on a weekend get-away, and it really worked well. I appreciate that I’m drinking out of a glass cup, which seems healthier than all of my other water bottles. The straw has a tilt to it, to make it easier to drink. I appreciate that my cat cannot drink out of my glass when it’s sitting on my desk. The top part is almost too big for my hand to carry, but it has a skinnier part at the bottom. I wish the pink color was more pink. It’s kind of a dull flesh color. I was disappointed that it says it isn’t dishwasher safe. Overall, this cup is getting me to drink more water, so I’m glad I got it.

My favorite glass – everything tastes perfect, keeps bugs out, works in car
I strongly prefer drinking out of glass – beverages just taste better that way, to me – and it is hard to find one that has all the features I need. I want borosilicate, because it is lighter weight, less prone to breakage, doesn’t scratch, and works well with both hot and cold beverages. I want a lid, mostly to keep my cat from helping herself to my water, but also to keep bugs out when I’m drinking outside. I want it to hold a lot so I don’t need constant refills, and I want it to fit in my car cupholder. This is the first glass I’ve come across that meets all those criteria.Unlike another reviewer, I *love* that it came in a plain box. I hate, hate, HATE products that come with whacko branding on them – simple is much more sophisticated and giftable. It probably would help to have a silicone sleeve with this, but since it wasn’t advertised as having one I’m sure as heck not going to dock a star when it doesn’t. I keep a stash of “sleeves” made out of old socks on hand – I just cut off the foot part, and use the ribbed part for glasses and water bottles – so in the unlikely event I need to insulate the glass I can use that. In the meantime I am thoroughly enjoying drinking from this and running it through the dishwasher problem-free. If someone had given me this as a gift I would have been thrilled.
