Game Changer
I have had a Gaggia Classic pro for 2 years now. I have delayed purchasing a grinder since fine pre-ground espresso is readily available at low cost. I can not tell you the difference this grinder made for me. Cost is pretty low for amazing quality. I’ve watched many youtube videos on how grinding your own coffee makes a huge difference. I struggled to believe it. I finally purchased this and realized that the pre-ground fine grind espresso sold in no where near as fine as you can get from this grinder. Finally amazing creama!!! I now understand what dialing in your grind can mean. The difference is easily visible and quite amazing. Simple to grind, as it is easy to rotate. Very quiet so I do not wake the house when making coffee. Takes around 30 seconds to a minute to grind a double shot. Only struggle was to understand that you push in and twist to have the handle take less space, not many descriptions on how to do this. This is nice since it keeps the grinder from falling over on the counter. This is my favorite Amazon purchase in a while. You will not be sorry with this one!!!

Things That Make Sense
Itâs a very well constructed grinder. Works great. Itâs very precise with the dials. Super easy to set up and use. Easy to clean. Easy to fold the handle for storage. Great for portable use in camping or travel. Itâs heavy but thatâs what makes it a sturdy tool. Comfortable in the hand. I love freshly gro un be coffee and I travel in my truck camper. Itâs was a bit pricey, but worth it.

Solid grinder, skip the black finish
I was looking to add a manual grinder to my setup, mostly for travel purposes. I normally drink espresso at home but do pour over or French Press when traveling. After doing a lot of reading, the X Ultra fit exactly what I was looking for. The first one showed up, and the finish was really pretty awful. Directly from their FAQs: “Minor imperfections on the surface of the metal are to be expected during the aluminum anodizing process.” I submitted for a replacement and received it quickly. It was better but still far from the quality I would expect on a product in this price range. The grind quality is on par with just about anything else. The adjustment dial is top notch as well as the magnetic catch cup. The carrying case is quite nice and includes the basic tools you need to keep it clean. They need to find a different finishing process though as it really takes away from the quality of the rest of the grinder.

Great for pour over grinding
I use this exclusively for pour over grinding. It’s very fast and I can get 36g of bean in one grind, which will make two cups for myself and my son. The folding handle is nice and makes storage a little easier. Zeroing it is also really easy, although the instructions are not so descriptive. I wanted a ZX6 when I was looking at grinders but it wasn’t available at the time. A friend pointed me to this one and I haven’t looked back. I haven’t done any kind of scientific study on the grind, but I think the fines produced are maybe on the cusp of too much. Next step for me is to screen them out and see if that makes for a better cup, but honestly, I get such good cups now that I am not really motivated to pursue it further!

Das ist meine erste HandmÃ¼hle und ich war ein bisschen skeptisch ob das was fÃ¼r mich ist.Aber nach dem letzten Urlaub – ich wollte meine Mokkakanne im Urlaub nicht mehr mit vor gemahlenem Pulver befÃ¼llen – stand der Entschluss fest.Nach dem Studium von zahlreichen Testberichten und noch mehr YouTube Videos wurde es schlieÃlich die X-Pro S von 1Zpresso. (J-Ultra war leider nicht verfÃ¼gbar)Erster Versuch: CafÃ© Crema mit der SiebtrÃ¤germaschine, also etwas grÃ¶ber mahlen. 17 gr in, 87 gr out in 29 Sekunden. FÃ¼r den ersten Versuch schon gut trinkbar.Zweiter Versuch: Espresso, 17 gr in, 37 gr out in 24 Sekunden. Ist schon ok, aber da geht noch was.Es folgten noch einige weitere DurchgÃ¤nge mit anderen Kaffee SpezialitÃ¤ten und ich war durchweg Ã¼berrascht, wie einfach und prÃ¤zise die Anpassungen waren.Zum Mahlvorgang. Alles was grÃ¶ber als Espresso gemahlen wird, geht sehr leicht von der Hand. Beim Espresso ist das schon etwas mÃ¼hsamer, dauert fÃ¼r 17 gr aber deutlich unter einer Minute.Die Verarbeitung ist sehr hochwertig, die Bedienung sehr einfach, die Ergebnisse konstant und reproduzierbar.Der Preis erscheint etwas hoch, aber wenn man die hochwertige Verarbeitung und die hohe PrÃ¤zision in die Waagschale wirft und man weiÃ was gute bis sehr gute MÃ¼hlen kosten, erscheinen die 169â¬ beinahe wie ein SchnÃ¤ppchen.Kurzum: Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

Had to watch a video to set the grinder up. Plain sailing after that. Very easy to change the settings and to take apart to clean. Expresso and Turkish grinds are a bit more difficult but happy with results. Go get one.
