Great for storing anything!
These come flat, so they take up very little space. Theyâre terrific for dividing up bulk buys of dry goods, including for longer term storage, and Iâll be using them for my candy making projects as well. I love the improved freshness aspect of really being able to professionally seal food.

Heat-sealing is the key
I didn’t realize what a difference these bags would make. The fact that I can heat-seal them is what makes them better than any other I’ve used.These do need to be heat-sealed – that is not optional. Once you do heat-seal them, you can leave everything fresh until you need it. Once you open the bag, the re-seal tab will close back up very tightly. This means that my items (especially my coffee) stays fresh for much longer.One thing I noticed is that some sealers don’t get hot enough (or maybe press down hard enough?) to seal the bags. One of my machines worked while another did not. If you can’t seal with one sealer, try another or even try using a hair straightener.The vibrant colors of these is really nice. Sturdy, Durable, Classic Metallic Like Coffee Bags With Vented Valve. Professional Level.
Initial impression.I was excited to select these and was not disappointed upon their receipt. A generous quantity of (110) Â¼ pound bags was received. Now I understood these were going to be small, and they are, at about 7Â½â height x 3Â½â width x 2â depth. For my use, they are exactly, quantity wise, what I wanted, however, am intrigued over other sizes and quantities; which are available. In fact, a mind-boggling assortment is, along with many different colors. From what I gather from the listing, these bags are made from Polyethylene (PE) and have an aluminum foil like finish, which the listing described, and referred these as mylar bags.How did these arrive?The bags arrived in a clear, tape sealed, cellophane type package measuring 16â x 8â x 2Â½â. The total weight was about (2) pounds. Each bag was about 8 grams each. Now I do not particularly care for how the bags were sealed. It was a flimsy seal, which is a negative. Reason being the contents could be compromised by the intrusion of anything else getting inside the package.Difficulty with small bagsI may get a larger size next time. Why? Because the openings of these bags are so small, an average sized hand cannot get down the bag to expand it. Three (3) fingers get in, at most. The opening is small, almost too small. I will not deduct for that; it was my decision to select these.Fit & finishOther than the small opening, these are colorful, thick, durable, and work â venting.Airtight?With the proper seal, yes.SealingI have an appropriate impulse sealer. I seal at the top of the bag, and then use the zipper top open and the Ziploc feature to reseal. The opening is very small, a mere 2â to pour the contents out.Recycling mark?There is none on the bag, thatâs a bit of a negative.Pull tabFairly easy to use, just that the opening is small.Country of origin?Made in ChinaBPA freeFrom my limited knowledge, my further understanding is that the bags are BPA free. However, these, nevertheless, are plastic bags and I am careful in keeping these away from direct sunlight.Perfect?No, but very good.ValueThey are competitively priced.I hope my thoughts added information.
