It’s got one sharp spot on it. As long as I hold the mug in my left hand while drinking from it, it won’t be a huge issue, but…. I hold my mug with my right hand. To steady the mug while bringing it up to drink, I place my thumb on the chipped spot. That’s actually how I noticed the defect.

I really like the look of the mug, and the built infuser makes it very easy to make a great cup of tea. However, the bottom of the mug being such a rough sandstone is not practical. I have to be careful how to grip the bottom part of the handle because it’s so rough to the touch. As well, I can’t actually use the mug on some surfaces because I’m worried I’ll scratch them.
