Love this
I love this Kingrider. I use it for my espresso machine with a bottomless portafilter. It grinds very fast and smoothly. It will grind very fine too. It is easy to adjust and very heavy duty too. I have had this for a while and it has been dropped many times, it still works perfect.

a great little grinder
it’s a nice little grinder. very easy to take apart and clean. i ended up using a small pipe brush from a funnel set that i bought, and use that the clean the burrs daily.because of how it’s made/set up, it’s not possible to calibrate to 0. mine was close, it locked up at 2 or 7 depending which way you orient the number plate when you reassemble it. i chose to lock it up at 7. according to their instructions, you are not supposed to use it between 0-16 clicks, which means, if it locks up at 7, the time i can start rotating would be when it’s set to 1. even set for turkish coffee though, that starts at 2 (20 clicks). also not recommending doing turkish coffee at that setting…it’s a little rough.instead of counting clicks from 7 (my starting 0), i chose to adopt a different way of using the number plate. i use the actual numbers to keep track of where i’m at on the grinder, and add 10 for each revolution. when i dial in, i’ll use the clicks (0 if i’m on the number, up to 3). so, for example, the espresso range from 40-60 clicks would be from 7-12. a specific dialed in setting could look like 9, 2 (9 and 2 clicks) or something like that.to help with putting things back consistently, i marked half of the end of the screw at the bottom of the unit (where the spin dial goes). the half i marked lines up with 0 on the face plate, so the spin dial locks up at 7.i haven’t done much besides turkish coffee, so i can’t say much about grind consistency, but it’s pretty easy to grind with. i’m only doing about 11g of beans, but at around 28 clicks, it’s a little tough, but 36 clicks is pretty easy. i can only imagine doing something like espresso probably would be even easier.

Consistent Grind – Durable so far (6 months)
I bought this to replace a cheaper grinder that had worked for years. What I am getting now is a more consistent grind size for pour-overs. Though I have only used it for 6 months, the material choices seem to be ok for grinding comfort and durability. It comes with a brush which is needed as static keeps some of the grounds in the device -particularly the grinder section in the upper half. Good ergonomics of the parts ensure a comfortable grind.

Really Good Grinder – No Match in it’s Price Range
** A quick update. I still love the grinder 1.5 years in. It still works fine, and in terms of grinding, no deterioration. The only issue I experienced probably 6 months ago was that the ball on the handle got broken, and is not staying in place now. Unfortunately, there is no replacement I’ve been able to find, and it is a bit annoying. Other than that still recommend 100%.Excellent grinder for the price. I do not think you can get a good espresso for cheaper than that. It is very sturdy, but at the same time, not so heavy. Overall, you cannot go wrong with it.My only caution is that it is a bit harder to grind, especially on light roasts, and you need to put some strength into it. But it does grind faster so maybe that’s the reason. Not a problem for me, but it might be for some people.

FINALLY! A Meticulously Reliable Coffee Grinder
It always struck me odd that folks have enjoyed coffee for centuries but never had the benefit of a $300 electric burr grinder. So why do I need to invest in another monstrous appliance taking up counter space just to ensure a consistent grind? For YEARS, I have searched for a simple, reasonable hand grinder that will allow me to take advantage of a good local roaster, and mill their freshly roasted beans perfectly for the desired brewing method (drip, press-pot, pour-over, whatever.) Well, finally I found one. YES, it does take some trial & error determining the perfect grind settings given the 120 clicks of options, but once you find the magic number, this grinder produces a predictable uniform grind every time. Its about time. I cannot recommend this enough. Its solidly built, and does not take excessive arm strength to get the job done. Yes, it takes some testing and effort to match your preferred brewing method/style, but if you are in the quest for the perfect cup, once you find your preferred settings, this will definitely ensure your grind is spot on every time.

Grinds faster than I would have expected a manual grinder to.
This Grinds about 18g of coffee in around 30 seconds or so.Super consistent grind size, great for espresso.Internal adjustments is listed as one of the cons of this vs the K4, but if you use the bottom to weigh your beans the grinder is open for adjustments already.

Excellent quality and versatile
This coffee grinder can grind coffee for italian espresso machine (works well with my Lelit) or percolator or frankly whatever coarseness you desire. It can even put the beans to powder if you want. I do not see at this point why i would want K3 or above (maybe for the outside setting or titanium). Instructions in english are very clear and simple (to me anyway). You completely close the mill by turning the dial clockwise until the mill cannot turn anymore (but do not force it once you fell the resistance) and then open it counterclockwise to the desired coarseness by counting the clicks. For me 48 counterclockwise clicks (from a completely closed mill) and with 30pounds temper worked as well as my electric grinder Rancilio Rocky on my Lelit. The quality of the grind seems to be constant so far. Takes 20 seconds to grind 14grams (would take more time to fetch and use the drill!) and does not require much strength. Strangely (or not!), as many times, it cost less for me to buy it on amazon USA with delivery to Canada (and custom included) than on amazon Canada. Ceteris Paribus, 19% less.

I love the heft of this. First time using a manual grinder and my coffee do feel smoother, less bitter (less fines). Previously I used Krups F203, I think this adjustable burr grinder with set fineness makes it easier for me to control what I need (and be consistent).I haven’t tried it yet but seen on a video as well that the Kingrinder’s main axle is way thicker and robust (good for power tool) compared to similar brands â good to know and have. The grip definitely helps stabilize; this thing was a joy to use.No problem operating, takes me only a few seconds – for 1 cup of moka espresso. Setting: I did 75 clicks from zero. Which is basically 2 full turns, minus 5 clicks. This model is also the cheapest model they have while still having a larger grinder mechanism 48mm burr size.

A very good hand grinder for the budget minded. If you want to grind fresh beans and have amazing coffee, this grinder can get super fine for espresso or coarser for drip coffee. Super impressive and compact.

I purchased this grinder as an affordable single dose espresso grinder and I have no complaints. It is very well-made, it feels great in the hand, it grinds smoothly, consistently, and quickly and is helping me to create great tasting espresso.Sure it’d be even better if it had finer grind adjustments, but the adjustments it does have allowed me to dial in my espresso shots just fine. And there is room to go way finer if I ever need to.
