Order of the Star of Italy Acknowledges Carlo Di Ruocco for Strengthening Worldwide Bonds

In early June, our household had the good honor of accepting an award on behalf of our late father, Carlo Di Ruocco. He was posthumously named Officer of the Order of the Star of Italy (Ufficiale dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia), an elevation from the knighthood (Cavaliere) he acquired in 2009. This award acknowledges people who’ve strengthened the bonds between Italy and different nations. For our father, espresso and meals have been his bridge from his hometown of Salerno to the Bay Space.

Carlo promoted Italian tradition in the USA in numerous methods. By his pioneering work introducing wood-roasted espresso to the Bay Space, his assist of Italian organizations, and his lifelong dedication to craftsmanship and neighborhood, he introduced a style of Italy to every day American life.
