Great burr grinder; solid, nice finish and accents and a consistent grind.
This burr grinder is well made and constructed. I like the wood feel and metal crank and band. Feels solid and not cheap or loose at all. Keep in mind, if you’re brewing high volumes (6 – 10 cup pot, for example), then this probably isn’t the right grinder for your needs. But if you’re making 1-3 cups at a time, and appreciate freshly ground coffee and enjoy the ritual of it all, then this is the one for you. The grind is adjustable depending on your brewing technique and is easily done with a twist. Because grinding builds up a little bit of static electricity, it can kind of “poof” when you open the glass jar, but that happens with ALL grinders honestly, and this one less than most I’ve used. The grind itself is consistent, though sometimes you have to shake it a bit to keep the beans flowing down into the burr, but this isn’t really an issue for me, and again, I think typical for most grinders. I use mine mostly for my pour over and occasionally for my Moka and love this thing on the weekends when I can really take the time to make a great cup and enjoy it. Makes me want to grow my hair long enough for a man bun and talk about the latest limited edition vinyl albums I’ve bought with my friends before going to my yoga class.

A beautiful and sturdy grinder that’s a great choice for camping
I really like this coffee grinder because of its compact, wooden design. It is perfect for camping because it can be separated into the handle, body, and glass storage. The design is very modern, but it has the same mechanism as other classic burr grinders. When using these grinders, coffee grounds get stuck on the burr and you have to clean it with a brush sometimes. This product is designed to be easily separated and cleaned, considering such maintenance. You can put in coffee beans by removing the cap with the handle. This product has 6 levels of coffee bean coarseness adjustment, with level 1 being very fine and level 6 being coarse. I ground 15g of coffee at level 1, and it took 4 minutes to grind everything. It is true that manual grinders are difficult, but they are also fun in their own way. The small coffee capacity is an obvious limitation, but other than that, it is a product that satisfies both the design and performance.

Excellent manual grinder that also looks beautiful!
Long story short, this is a good grinder if you need a manual grinder.I am not even going to compare this to my Hario manual grinder because the Hario grinder is a joke in comparison. I have an assortment of burr grinders. This one looks great, feels great and the stainless steel burrs are impressive.I have tested it at step 3 which is around the center of grind size steps on this grinder (It does have steps, it’s not a step-less, which is fine). This test was with a Costa Rica coffee and to be brewed by manual pour-over with paper filter. The area where you add the beans can probably hold 17 grams at the most, pictured is 16 grams. The diameter of the space to put the beans into is a bit small so you have to pour the beans in carefully so they don’t miss and fall out all over the place. The handle is also the cover and it can be a little difficult to fit it on the hex correctly, but once you get it lined up it’s perfect. The big surprise is it probably only took me 30 seconds to grind this 16 grams at step 3. This is significantly less than the time it would take using the Hario. It’s also way shorter than the time it takes with my portable electric récolte grinder from Japan (this one takes about 2 minutes! but it is not manual). The grinds come out of the catch vessel almost 100% because it’s made of glass so there is minimal static retention. There also doesn’t appear to be much retention on the burrs or the body of the grinder. 16 grams in, 16 grams out. Minimal fines and consistent looking grinds. This pour-over flowed well and the cup was excellent. The price is kind of high, but I think it is a quality manual grinder that won’t disappoint like many others out on the market. As you can see, I do spend a lot on coffee and coffee equipment over decades and I feel this grinder is a good product! Probably grinds better than my Ode and my Baratza too.

Good to have
Having grown up in a world where power outages were fairly prevalent, I like to feel prepared to have my coffee even when I don’t have electricity, which means things like stovetops that can be lighted with a match, old-fashioned dripolaters, and, yes, hand-turned grinders for whole beans. Like this grinder, which is neat, small enough for convenient storage, and grinds in different finenesses. It came without instructtions, but proved very easy to figure out: the only tricky part was figuring out whether to turn to a higher number for a coarser or a finer grind. (I found that “1” is the finest, and a very fine grind it is.) Hand-grinding the beans does take time and a bit of energy, but I find that gives a satisfying sense of accomplishment which might make the coffee seem to taste better.

A little bit cheap
This looks decently nice but itâs fairly cheap once you get up close. It does hold a decent capacity of beans for a hand grinder, but the settings are very limited and so its functionality is very limited for grind settings. As a spice grinder, this is very good, but it would make for a very expensive spice grinder if thatâs all you used it for. Overall, itâs decent if you just do pour over or drip and you donât mind a grind profile that isnât super precise.

Fantastic Grinder for travel
If you really like Coffee and hate using grinders at airbnbs, this is the grinder for you. It gives a consistent grind of any size. It’s small and mostly for 4 cup sizes but you also can simply do 2 grinds worth of coffee. great travel size.
