We love this tool for setting our expresso puck after leveling it. We add a round filter over this to keep the expresso brewer compartment clean. Works tremendously!!!! Love it!!!

Tied for Best Tamper in My Collection
I like leveling tampers. This one works that way & has a strong spring to deliver the same pressure every time with an audible click. It is similiar to a far more expensive product that became famous for the audible click. The MHW-3BOMBER is equal in performance but better than half the price.

Well built but bulky
This tamper functions very well in every way – it’s stable with a solid and loud click when reaching the maximum tamping pressure and fits perfectly in the basket with no grounds left on the sides. My only negative for it is the size, weight and appearance – it’s very tall and heavy, and the look is very industrial, with an exposed spring visible in the middle.

Parece bueno, pero no hace la presión suficiente
A simple vista parece un muy buen tamper, pesado y de buena construcción. Pero no logré que haga la presión suficiente para los espresso. Para probarlo, use el tamper básico de mi Oster 7400 y con este último lograba una buena crema versus el comprado acá, que no generaba ninguna crema. No lo recomiendo para nada, lo compré con muchas expectativas y terminé muy desilusionado.

Underweighted and Underpressured?
Typically a fan of this company, my experience with this calibrated tamper was poor. My pucks, well groomed and used on a very clean machine, suffered from frequent spurting even after activating the tamper 3 or 4 times. The espresso shots were also running through the pucks very quickly. This had not been a previous problem nor is it a current one now that I have returned to my manual tamper. The device does not âfeelâ heavy enough and I remain doubtful about the accuracy and relief impact.
