What a surprise!
I have been trying new coffees, healthier production methodology/organicâ¦and this is by far the richest, darkest, strongest tasting, without all the extra oiliness. The flavor is full bodied and makes great iced coffee, holding the flavor as the cubes melt, and feels smooth in the mouth, easy on the tummy. I love this coffee!!!

The coffee smells wonderful and I canât wait to try some. The beans look good sized and well roasted. The color is good and even throughout the bag.Installation/setup: Grind beans to your preferred grind. Use to make coffee in your preferred method.Final thoughts: I used these in my burr grinder to a medium grind. I then used the ground coffee in my standard drip coffee maker. I like my coffee strong and dark so I used a good amount. Not my holy grail, but a very good dark roast
I’ve been drinking coffee for over 40 years and I haven’t missed too many days without it. Nowadays, I grind my own beans daily, and dark roast is my thing. I like the bolder flavor of dark roast, and I’ve heard that darker roasts have less caffeine, although I can’t confirm that to be true. I do have go-to blends that I use most of the time, but I’m always looking for the holy grail. This particular coffee is not (in my opinion) the holy grail. It is indeed a dark roast, and it produces a fine cup of coffee, but I wouldn’t say it is any better or worse than what I normally buy. In other words, this is on par with what I drink most days, which is a very good dark roast. That said, I am not a coffee snob by any means. I will happily finish the rest of the bag and would even consider ordering it again. If you’re a fan of dark roasts, maybe this will be exactly what you’re looking for.

Amazing dark roast coffee!
I am a huge fan of dark roast coffee in fact it is my preferred type of coffee anytime of the day. So when I find one that is great I tend to stick with it. On a whim I tried this coffee as I have had a lighter roast of this same brand and was impressed at how robust and intense a lighter roast was. I was very hopeful for this roast based on that first experience. This coffee did not disappoint. From the first time opening the bag and seeing the extremely dark beans and the dark rich aromatic grind they produced I was hooked. I put this through my espresso machine and it made a great cup o coffee ! It is all it claims to be. I can taste the smokiness and dark chocolate and caramel notes. All of this while drinking smoothly with barely any bitterness.

Full-Bodied Bold Dark Roast
The Punk Bunny Dark Roast whole bean coffee has a very bold and full-bodied flavor. I like dark roast coffees and this one does not disappoint. The coffee’s aroma is rich and inviting. The potency of this coffee requires less coffee grounds than I typically use (in a drip coffee maker) to achieve the best flavor without being overly strong. The Punk Bunny coffee not only has an amusing name, but it brews into a well balanced dark roast cup of coffee. It is a little pricy, but that could be due to it being organic and a fair trade coffee.

I have tried the medium roast and Green Day’s coffee is superb and so I also wanted to try the dark roast. I just love the scent of these whole beans. I admit I am a bit bias because not only am I a coffee enjoyer, but I’m a big fan of green day. I absolutely adore the branding and think it’s fitting for the image. I predominately drink medium roasts and own a few dark roast coffee beans here so I do enjoy the hints of smoke with way less acidity and that’s what stands out the most with this coffee. Bold, aromatic, and tasted rich. Pretty good selection of coffee for some cool guys who make music.

Very dark and super strong, at least for me
I have to admit that I had to make my own blend by adding some medium roast coffee and even with that, the coffee tasted very rich and bold. I think next time, I will simply use less coffee grounds when brewing and see how that goes. The best part is that I like to add sweetened non-dairy creamer to my coffee which can sometimes diminish the robust coffee flavor. Not so with this ultra-dark roast as the rich coffee flavor still comes through.
