It seems well crafted and well balanced for ease of use.
I have read quite a few negative reviews of this product, and a few seem to “to think” they know coffee maker design better than the manufacturer. When in doubt, try following instructions, or watch a video showing how to use a product. Many did not seem to understand the correct way to use the product and seem dazed and confused, when approaching the product. The coffee maker is stable when placed on a firm support, a a counter top. or a table. The filters fit quite well though the seem works a little better if folded along the seem. Pour into the filter about two scoops of finely ground, a Melita grind that is between medium grind, and espresso grind. It flows through the filter quickly. I’m currently working on dosing. once I get the right amount to add to the pot things will work out fin. I am use to using an espresso maker to make my coffee, for over a year now. At one time I either made pour over coffee or I used a mocha pot, that brews a descent cup of Jo. Lever machines are the only coffee maker with a learning curve. At any rate, measure the amount of water to heat, plus a pinch for evaporation, and a bit for for the coffee grounds. Place a filter at the top but open it up. I think it is a bully idea to fold the filter along the side seam and push the filter in place, Pour some freshly ground coffee to what ever amount of fineness to suit your taste. when the water reaches around 100 degrees F. Pour some water to whet the filter, and then wet the grounds and let set for 20 to thirty seconds, to release the flavour for a better cup of Jo. One should never swing their arms around, as if conducting a philharmonic Orchestra, for one may knock the coffee maker causing it to shatter, and then one may slap a guest senseless, ore even even knock over a guest, or friend. Friends are sometimes hard to come by. At anyrate good luck to your coffee journey..

Very convenient and fun to use, but I’m a coffee Philistine, so what do I know?
I’ve never been much of a coffee drinker, mostly having a cup of instant now and then and indulging in the coffee offered in doctor’s waiting rooms. But I decided recently to start drinking coffee for its antioxidant properties. I had assumed that I could just get some nice instant decaf (for me it’s going to be mostly decaf) but noooooooooo. I went down the rabbit hole of what is the “best” way to prepare coffee, what is the best type/blend of coffee for health benefits, and eventually, that led me here.Anyway, clearly, this lovely little coffee maker is pearls before swine in my case, but I followed the instructions given in the product video shown here on Amazon, and successfully made a cup of coffee that was tasty to my (very very) unsophisticated palate.I chose this coffee maker because it’s so compact and doesn’t take up much room in my limited kitchen space. I bought a mini goose-neck teapot to pour the hot water, and this little thing, and I’m good to go! It’s fabulous. I’m still getting the hang of it. But the coffee is tasty and at least as good as the doctor’s office coffee that I’m used to, lol. (I can imagine the coffee aficionados here clutching their pearls at this statement!)

3rd oneâ¦.. âï¸/ â
Third time I have bought one.The negatives:1. Previous 2 broke before a year of use. They are fairly durable, but weaken and eventually break.2. The coffee drip is irregular3. Can bubble over the brim due to a lack of ventilation, which spills it.The positives:1. Cost effective2. Easy to use3. Simple

Good item. However…
Great unit.. but part of the reason I bought this particular kit, was because of the filters included with the kit.The filters I got are NOT the ones shown in the pictures. There is no seam where they are attached, and are just a big square of filter paper.I’m new to this method.. but the water seemed to drain through the filter incredibly fast, and I got a weak cup of coffee even after using 2TBSP of grounds per cup. This is after pre-rinsing the filter.. pre-wetting the grounds AND letting them sit for about 30 seconds. In short.. I believe these filters are garbage.I’m going to be buying conical filters I see baristas using online. They appear to force the water to drain slower through the grounds.I hate waste.. so rather than throwing these out, maybe I’ll double up the filters to slow the drip down until I use them all up.As for the carafe.. I have nothing but good things to say about it. Much prettier than many other brands out there.

I love this little coffee pot!
I love this pour-over coffee pot! Each morning I make 3 cups of coffee with it. I make one for me to drink right away, one to set aside for later and one for a family member to drink. I start with 5 scoops of grounds, then before starting the next cup I add a small scoop of grounds. This way each cup is strong and full of flavor. ( Side note- Since I pour so many cups through one filter I do use a mini strainer to support the filter and make it easier to pour multiple cups. ) I chose to purchase this because I grew tired of my big, automatic coffee pot getting bogged down with calcium and taking up so much space in my small kitchen. I’ve found that using this pour over pot helps me to stop for a few moments, look through my kitchen window at the flowers and trees, while the beautiful smell of coffee rises through the steam as I pour hot water over the grounds and hear the sounds as it magically turns from hot water to delicious coffee in the pot below. In that short moment, I’m connected to the process and appreciate everything around me. It only takes a few minutes but starts my day in a beautiful way!
