Got this Matcha kit on prime day and it was an amazing steal. Everything is very high quality for the price and aesthetically pleasing as well. The bowl is high quality and wont crack from the hot water. The whisk is also easy to mix with and makes great, frothy matcha.

the matcha essentials
This kit has pretty much all the matcha essentials. I was in need of matcha supplies fast, since all my nice ones were back home, so I grabbed this kit. Overall, it pretty much has what you need. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and feel of the bowl and chasen stand. The bamboo scoop is not the smoothest and has a few bamboo threads peeling from it, but still okay to use. The only thing with this set is, if you are at all serious about matcha, you’ll want to get yourself a better whisk. Even if you’re a beginner, I’d seriously recommend getting a quality whisk; you can’t get that characteristic smooth foam and the velvety texture without it. In the pictures of the full set, the chasen (whisk) has not been used (you can see it doesn’t even fit the stand the set comes with).
After trying the whisk that came with the set, I immediately ordered a quality one, so I also have two pictures comparing the whisk in this set (this time shown after two uses, being properly cleaned and stored both times) to a quality matcha chasen (shown new in first picture and then same state of used twice in second picture).
I think this is a great value set to get you set up with a bowl, chasen stand, sifter, and scoop, so I would recommend purchasing the set for those and then splurging a little more to get a quality chasen and quality matcha, as those are what will make or break your matcha experience.

I love matcha and I drink matcha everyday so having a good matcha whisk definitely help for my experience. This whisk is nice and create very soft and well mixed matcha.
