Small But Mighty – Excellent for RV or off-road Travel!
I recently gave this electric burr coffee grinder a try, and it’s been a neat little addition to my coffee setup. Made with a durable stainless-steel grinding disc, it grinds beans automatically to whatever quantity I need, saving me from the hassle of manually cranking a hand grinder. I love that it can handle a range of grind sizes, from fine espresso to coarse French press, so Iâm not stuck with one option. Instead of wrestling with a hand grinder, I just add my beans, set the grind size, and let it go to workâno need to stay hands-on. Compromises for travel
This all-in-one coffee system is a nice option for making a cup on the go, given that you also have a separate water kettle. However, there are a few compromises that you have to keep in mind. The biggest is that the cup is absolutely tiny, and cannot accommodate a proper brew unless you use an equally minuscule amount of beans. I tried using my usual recipe and had to take the filter out and pour the coffee into another cup part way through the brew, and subsequently made a big mess. The filter is also too small to put on another vesicle, including the little filter holder, so you can only brew into the provided cup. The grinder uses good quality conical steel burrs so the grinds will be consistent. However, the motor is weak and will take a very long time to grind your beans, and you need to shake and restart it a few times since the beans can get stuck in the hopper without touching the burrs. The adjustment steps are also a bit large so it’s not suitable for espresso grinds, despite being able to grind finely. The last little gripe I have is that the filter holder only loosely sits on the top of the unit, so it’s very easy to lose; this isn’t ideal for a travel unit where you will want to have the holder with the unit. All things considered, this unit is a bit gimmicky and has a pretty niche use case, but you can get decent coffee out of it if you play with the grind setting and brew ratios.

It has everything you need
I hardly know where to begin to describe this burr coffee grinder because it has so many neat features! The compact size makes it easy to take on trips. It has USB charging and the charging cord comes with it. The on/off button on the front blinks while charging and stays green when fully charged.Iâm new to the pour over coffee process but this setup makes it so easy. The dial is on the bottom of the grinder that fits in the filter/cup. This one is different from others that have a ring dial adjustment visible on the outside. There are 12 âclicksâ as they are called in the directions. Numbers 1-5 are the finest and not recommended for use. Medium grind for pour over and K-cup refillables say to use 15 – 25 clicks which means you have to turn the dial all the way around and come back to the number of clicks you need. I used 17 clicks which means I turned it all the way around once and then stopped on 5 (12+5=17). You can see that the grinder opening is all the way closed at 1 and gradually opens more with each click. Itâs easy to reset if you need a new grind size. It comes with a clothe storage/travel bag, a hex wrench for taking it apart for deep cleaning, the pour over filter and double insulated cup. I have my preferred coffee and usually detest hotel coffee. Now I can take my own setup that is so incredibly easy to pack and use. This would also be ideal for camping. I should also add that this is a high quality coffee grinder that I use for all my coffee beans. I like that I can sit it right on top of my coffee storage container to grind a couple of days worth at one time. Highly recommend!

easy to clean, cool little coffee grinder!
it grinds coffee well and is very easy to clean! my only gripe and nitpick about this portable coffee grinder is that it is quite heavy â though its easy to travel with it will add quite a bit of weight to your bags and whatnot, but itâs also understandable considering the multiple parts in this machine.
