A Reliable Brew for Every Morning
The BLACK+DECKER 12-Cup Coffee Maker is a straightforward and efficient option for daily coffee brewing. Its simple design and user-friendly features make it a popular choice among coffee enthusiasts.
    Key Features:
12-Cup Capacity: Perfect for large households or gatherings.
Easy On/Off Switch: Conveniently start and stop the brewing process.
Easy Pour, Non-Drip Carafe: Ensures clean and mess-free pouring.
Removable Filter Basket: Easy to clean and maintain.
Vortex Technology: Ensures thorough coffee grounds saturation for optimal flavor.
While the coffee maker is easy to use and maintain, some users may find the carafe to be a bit flimsy. Additionally, the coffee strength may not be as customizable as higher-end models.
Overall, the BLACK+DECKER 12-Cup Coffee Maker is a reliable and affordable option for daily coffee brewing. It’s a great choice for those who prioritize simplicity and convenience.

    Excellent Coffee Maker
Yea!!! Black & Decker comes through with a great little 5 cup coffee maker. It brews within four minutes. It is quiet, takes up little counter space and is easy to use.
The handle is spacious enough for my larger hand and the pot fits nicely on the burner without spilling coffee when you put it back in place. It pours without dripping! A problem I’ve had with my last two other coffee makers of different brands.
    I’ll buy this product again.

Good Coffee maker with a couple CONS
This is a good coffee maker at a reasonable price. Here are the PROS and CONS that I found.
PROS: 1. Brews HOT coffee that tastes great. 2. Great price. 3. Small and compact.
CONS: 1. No Auto Shut-Off. ‘That’s an important safety one.’ You may forget to shut it off and it will burn the coffee and potently start a fire. You would think that would be a safety standard, especially in California. 2. No Grab-a-Cup Auto Pause Feature. Doesn’t stop dripping coffee when you remove the carafe to pour a cup before it has finished. Coffee continues to drip until finished brewing. 3. No Removable Screen basket (permanent filter)
Other than a couple CONS to watch out for, you have a reasonable priced 5-cup coffee maker that makes tasty and hot coffee.

    Very good coffee maker
Works as expected. Brews well and the coffee comes through hot as opposed to other drip makers that dispense less than hot products. Particularly like the markings on the carafe; it shows how much water is needed to brew however many cups you want. The starting amount and resulting brew are not the same so this is a nice feature

Everything you need to know about this coffee maker, as someone who has used a few of them for over 10 years.
Best coffee maker ever! But you have to be attentive because there is no automatic shutoff and also patient because it keeps dripping when you move the pot. It is simple and easy. It also doesn’t tell time so if you need a clock buy a microwave instead. Good for about two and a half large coffee mugs full. So if you love coffee it is good for just you and if you like coffee a lot you can share it with another person. Drink within three minutes of brew completion or the coffee will be too hot on the warmer and burn over time. It is brewed at the perfect temperature if you drink it right away and no, that is not scorching hot, it is the perfect temperature for the full flavor of the bean. I use 8 flat tablespoons per full pot (5 cup), drip grind. It is stronger than a normal coffee pot due to the smaller area for the water to go through the beans, which is awesome because you will use less coffee when you make coffee. I recommend keeping it clean, rinse it after you use it and never let wet beans sit because they will get moldy and that’s gross. For the perfect brew, use water from your refrigerator (cold water) or add two ice cubes if the water is warm or tap. Cold water creates the best brew. Never use hot water as it will overheat the plastic and you will get a nice plastic flavor. Also, buy good coffee and only use Swiss or natural process decaf because the rest tastes like chemicals. I have had success with Java Delight’s Columbian dark roast, Boyd’s French Roast, most Starbuck’s coffee, Decaf Peace Coffee (my favorite but expensive), and any other coffee that is not instant and costs more than $10 a bag. I mentioned some that aren’t because they are exceptions and if you are on a budget they will be the best for you and they go on sale sometimes. I stand by this coffee maker. It is cheaper to buy a new one than to replace the carafe if you break that too, it is glass so you know, treat it like glass. If you grasp the concept of coffee this should be an easy machine to use. You can use most generic filters, I recommend non-bleached for no real reason beside there is no bleach used in them. Buy some on amazon, they are cheap in bulk. It is also best if you grind your coffee fresh right before brewing and keep it in an airtight container when not in use. Dispose of coffee grinds after use. You can get nice glass jars from Walmart or Amazon that work great for storage. Do not keep the beans cold unless you are going to drink one cup every six months. You should not have beans last more than six months at the most and that is for fresh whole beans. Pre-ground store-bought coffee may taste the same after more time, but it probably wasn’t that fresh in the first place. Get an automatic Bodom burr grinder, the good one where you can set the grind and time. Keep it clean and don’t let the beans sit too long ground or whole. It is around $100 on amazon right now, see? You can have really expensive tastes and love this coffee maker if you know what you are doing. I do 20-25 seconds on the coffee post setting depending on the freshness of the bean. As someone who is deeply in love with the oily beany taste of strong freshly-brewed coffee that isn’t too acidic or bitter, I will tell you right now this maker can be perfect. You just have to follow my instructions and be on top of it.

    Small, Cute & Brews Fast!
This Black and Decker 5-Cup is Small, Cute & Brews Fast! I used it for the first time today. Just an FYI you can’t take the pot out until the brewing is complete there is no stop mechanism. One less thing to worry about. It makes great coffee.

STOP BUYING EXPENSIVE COFFEE POTS!!! I was tired of spending $80+ once a year on a coffee pot that would only last a year and had special screws so that you couldn’t get in and clean the water pipes inside that so easily clogged. Just think of the crap your coffee water is being filtered through before making your coffee. I’m so angry, those screws should be illegal. This coffee pot is just a simple, manual machine that would make coffee fast. Forget throwing so much money away so you can set a clock to have coffee for the morning. You can pour the water and put the grinds in the night before then simply click it on in the morning or spend one minute doing it in the morning and have your coffee faster than you can finish your morning bathroom routine. I’m angry at these companies that deliberately put those screws there to deliberately (uhum) screw you to get more money from you.
So what if you spend a few days to get your perfect coffee flavour, you generally have to do that with any pot. I did have to use a bit more coffee with this one because it pours so fast – or maybe it’s simply because it’s a 12 cup pot instead of the 10 cup I was using. I also had x3 thermos coffee pots from the more expensive machines so I simply pour the coffee into one and voila !! Hot coffee for the day without the burn.
THANK YOU ‘BLACK and DECKER’ for this cost-saving “Easy Pour, Non-Drip Carafe with Removable Filter Basket” product. I actually didn’t check the type of screws on this one, yet – I’m still too angry about them, but I hope you think about normal ones if you’re using those ‘screwy’ ones. Give the consumer a chance to drink clean water by letting us clean those pipes inside. I guarantee you’ll increase sales on any of your coffee pots if you advertise that ability to always drink clean water with ‘Black and Decker’ products!

    Title says it all.
I got tired of the taste of my Keurig Coffee and I wanted to return to a drip coffee. I live alone and have no use for a large 12-cup Coffee Maker, so the Black & Decker 5-Cup is ideal for me. The 5-Cup Coffee Maker is a great space-saving product as its compact size barely takes up room on my counter top and can be easily tucked away.
I have had this for several months now and the coffee still comes out nice, hot and tasty. My only minor gripe is that when you try to switch it off, it shifts easily because it is so light once all the water/coffee is removed.
Pretty much 9.5/10, I would recommend this product.
UPDATE: It’s almost 2025 and this bad boy is still going strong!! If you have this in your wishlist/cart just get it! 😝
