Helped improve organization and workflow for espresso prep. Keeps my leveler, tamp, and puck screen neatly organized. Allows space for my frothing pitcher in place of WDT tool. Great mat for my 54mm supplies
I was pleasantly surprised that this mat is thick. It feels well made and fits all of my 54mm tools. You can remove the rings on the mat for 58mm accessories. The mat helps protect my wooden tabletop and contain the espresso grind mess after making my drinks.

Looks good, works fine, harder to clean
This product is great for what it does. I wish it was rigid on the bottom to make carrying easier, but it’s a nice organization tool for espresso.Cleaning it is a bit tricky without running it under water or scrubbing, but it shouldn’t be a deal breaker unless you need something that’s super easy to wipe clean

Update: After originally being sent a used unit (by product of returns to Amazon), Normcore caught wind of it & sent me a new item without question. Very pleased with their customer service & product quality.

Go with the v1 instead
I made the mistake of buying this first instead of the v1. This has no lip to go over the edge of a countertop. As such is very prone to sliding around when tamping or placing tools on it. The areas to place puck prep accessories isnât that useful either as they only fit my tamp and nothing else. I also have a dosing funnel and pick filters, but neither nicely fit inside the designated areas. I ended up getting the v1 mainly for the lip and itâs just flat. The one benefit this has in my opinion is that itâs a bit larger.

Nice and thick and doesn’t move much on my station. Wipes clean rather easily and stores all tools in a neat and compact space. Much better than a large wooden tamping station

Making espresso can be a bit messy sometimes as coffee grounds can get everywhere. Also, having a place to put / position / show off your prep tools is rather nice. So, having bought the tools, the mat was a bit of a no brainer. I have a 58mm portafilter and this has inserts in the recesses that can be added if you have a 53mm portafilter or taken out for the 58mm.The item is made of silicon rubber and is secure in the work surface and should any coffee ground get on it, and they will, itâs VERY easy to rinse and dry off.A great complement to the Normcore tools.

Jâavais peur que le café le salisse rapidement et que le nettoyage ne fasse pas partir toutes les saletés, mais ce nâest pas le cas! Un petit chiffon humide et il semble tout à fait neuf!Jâaime les contours amovibles qui permettent dâutiliser des accessoires de 54 et 58mm sans problème!
