This is the second one of these we bought so there is always a clean one ready to go. Works very well, and the insert mesh filter is very fine, with consistent clean filtration. Obviously, if your tea is a powder, your results will vary. Lid fits well, and the whole unit keeps heat without burning your hand when you pick it up.The bamboo coaster thing is basically a throwaway item unless you modify it. Bamboo is soooo slippery, and it is a good half inch tall, so you need to pay attention if you use it so you don’t spill 20 oz of your precious elixir onto your desk. I have coasters that I use instead and will put this part in the next Goodwill bag.NOTE: The filter has a very sharp piece internally at the top or open end, where the handle joins the mesh portion, which goes around the entire diameter. I am sure they are all the same from this mfgr. (our other one is a different brand, and does not have this issue). Not worth sending back/exchanging, but beware if intending to gift this to elderly, children, or folks with rheumatoid arthritis.

This is a great tea mug
I bought this mug because I drink a cup of tea after I eat lunch. The finish on the mug is flawless the outside of the bottom has a white ring that is a white glaze. Also the inside has a white glaze. The infuser does not hold all loose tea some does get into the bottom of the cup. I would buy again.

Perfekt durchdacht, wunderschönes design, vor allem das tolle sehr dichte passgenaue Sieb begeistert mich. Keine Rückstände im Tee mehr. Alles dran, was man zum Tee bereiten braucht. Der abgenommene Deckel umgedreht ist am Tisch auch die Abstellfläche für das Sieb. Steht bei mir jetzt jeden Morgen bereit. Losen Tee rein, kochendes Wasser drüber, auf den Tisch. Schön schmal, leicht mir einer Hand zu nehmen und deshalb auch gut im Geschirrspüler. Kein Humpen, die 500 ml Füllmöglichkeit sieht man ihr nicht an.

Da ich möchte, dass die Teebläter maximal entfalten, habe ich immer Glaskannen, deren Sieb den gesamten Bauch ausfüllt.Jetzt wollte ich aber einfach mal eine Tasse ausprobieren.Hätte ich schon viel eher machen sollen! Benutze diese nur noch.Sieb füllt die Tasse voll aus. Hat einen kleinen Griff zum herausziehen und eine Rinne am oberen Rand , so dass man auch gut erkennen kann wieviel Wasser man eingieÃen kann , damit es nicht überläuft.Durch den Deckel kann man den Tee prima ziehen lassen und nachher super das Sieb drauf absetzen. Keine Sauerei. Alles viel sauberer als bei meinen Kannen da man nichts hin und her ( also Sieb aus Kanne zur Spüle etc) tragen muss, sondern bei der Tasse alles vor einem steht,Und der Untersetzer dazu ist auch Mega praktisch.Richtig gut. Würde ich wieder kaufen
