Excellent tea infuser, the tiny holes on this cup do the job well and it has a nice lid on top. It sits on the edge of my pan well with the wings on each side secured on the pan. Definitely recommend.

It works very well
I read the few reviews that mentioned a bit of tea flakes sifting through. My picture shows the result of lemon balm/mint crushed leaves. I have had much more flaking with other tea steepers, so I’m quite pleased. If I had one change to make it would be that the lid would fit tightly enough to stay on if steeping a pot of tea or using with herbs in making a broth. However I have no reason so far to complain. The fine holes pass water through and keep the largest majority of leaves in the steeper. No problem cleaning either.

Loose tea only
I purchased this strainer because I thought it would work with the tea from inside teabags, since reading that they are spraying teabags with plastic, and you were exposed to plastic when you drop your teabags into hot water I currently take the tea out of the teabags and thought the strainer would work, but the tea in the teabags is too fine and it comes through the strainer. However, teabag tea is too fine in the grounds come through the strainer however it is great for regular looseleaf tea.

What I’ve been looking for.
This infuser is the perfect size. I can use it in my small teapot or in a cup. Nice quality micro strainer, great for even smaller powders without it breaking through and muddying up the pot. It has its own cover, too, and is easy to clean.
