I love this carafe. I bought two of them recently to brew my morning cup of coffee since my husband has had to switch to decaf coffee and the lovely but pricey Chemex carafe that we have had for years is now used for his decaf. Since he drinks a lot of coffee every day (warning: too much caffeine is not good for one’s heart, especially as you get older). I still drink fully caffeinated coffee — one large mug (roughly 16 ounces), so this carafe works perfectly for my morning brew. It would easily accommodate two mugs of a smaller size, however.I also bought the gooseneck carafe which is a little larger than this one and quite elegant looking. I found the gooseneck one a little harder to clean, however, so this is my go-to carafe every morning.The supplied filter sits perfectly on the top. I add somewhere between 3 and 4 tablespoons of coffee to the filter and then pour the heated water over it. It filters quite fast, and the coffee is ready within a few minutes. The carafe keeps the coffee warm enough for some time. The filter cleans up easily. I throw it into the dishwasher about once a week. But I handwash the carafe. It is easily cleaned since the top of the carafe is wide and you can get a sponge-holding hand down inside it if need be. Usually, a couple of swishes of hot tap water will do the trick of cleaning it up. It is dishwasher-safe, though. The gooseneck type is a little harder to clean due to it being a gooseneck.Despite the labeling of unbreakable — this carafe is NOT unbreakable. All glass breaks if dropped onto a hard surface. Borosilicate glass is stronger than a lot of other types of glassware but again, it is not unbreakable. I don’t understand why they add that to its description. It’s not true. It’s tough–but it will break if abused!I guess people are so used to using plastic that selling a glass product needs some extra hype. It shouldn’t be that way. These glass carafes with either a paper or steel filter make a far better-tasting cup of coffee than anything you will get from a hard-plastic coffee maker. Pour-over coffee is a superb method of brewing, creating a rich full-bodied, and far tastier cup of coffee. The difference between this brewing method and the standard drip method of automatic coffee makers is incomparable. Pour-over brewing is vastly better. Yes, it requires a little more hands-on time, but it is well worth it.This glass carafe, and other similar ones, are a great buy. Easy to use. Makes a great cup(s) of coffee! Enjoy!

I kept breaking my other pour over coffee pots, but this is unbreakable, and so far, it’s worked. I just wish it came in a larger size as it basically only makes one cup at a time.

Donât let the brand-name confuse you itâs definitely breakable
After breaking my Bodum pour over coffee maker i decided to give this one a try, I liked that it had a handle. Yet what I didnât consider was the size difference in the design of the top/filter width. In comparison, this filter is much smaller and therefore holds less water and it takes longer to make coffee. Now the coffee it does make still tastes great, it works as it should and looks good. My only issue was durability, in the past I have broken theses due to dropping them in the sink with soapy hands, but in this case it was gently bumped in the sink and next thing I knew it was cracked. Maybe it was hit just right, but it really shouldnât have broken that easily. So it ended up in the trash and I went back to the no handle Bodum pour over coffee maker, time trumped the handle, and the wider top of Bodum is easier to clean than this one.

I was so impressed at how well packed this product was for shipment. The pot is perfect for two large cups of coffee. I used ground coffee, and it was so simple to use.

Makes a fabulous tasting small pot ( 2 mug-fuls) of coffee. Very easy and quick clean up ( especially if you use a cone filter in the stainless steel brewing cone. I finally grew weary of my Keurig- too labor intensive for the de scaling, filling and washing the re usable pods, etc. This is a welcome change.

I read the reviews on this before purchase and being around awhile know that glass does and will break. So this is no ‘Kimmie Schmidt’ but very nice. I purchased the 27oz without a spout. The looks of the spout were nice but felt it would be the piece that ends the useful life of the pot.I have done pour over coffee for years and have used.other brands with success. My most recent had a nice handle and removable rubber base. I had fir several years and liked a lot……but…not having my coffee yet one morning and I bobbled after rinsing out and shattered the top. I had that one in my cart when the UNBREAKABLE *BRAND* popped up. The price was right and gave it a go.- It’s nice.looking- Included filter flows.well, but doesn’t look like it would..I use #4 filters- wish the bottom had texture to make it more ‘grippy’ on the bottom.- wish handle was textured and grippy too.Functionality is great and priced well. Hoping to get a few years of life out of the pot before inadvertently breaking it.

Unbreakable is a stretch
I received this Pour Over Coffee maker less than a month ago, used it about 6 times and the carafe is cracked and chipped. There is no reason for this to have occurred. Always washed by hand and did not drop, bump or abuse it in any way. Very disappointed in this purchase.

I love this Coffee Maker, it’s as good as any electrical coffee maker and will last a lifetime I’m sure given proper care. It also takes standard Size 4 filters which is fantastic. So to summarize I love this coffee maker and intend to buy a spare one in the future!
