Surprisingly good!
this guy is TINY, first impressions were concerning due to just how small it is (felt more like doll furniture than a coffee machine!) but man is this thing POWERFUL. heats up water in like 30 seconds and makes a large cup in about a minute. Its simple, its cute, and it gets the work done. only negative is the water reservoir is only large enough for one big cup, but honestly its not a big deal and isnt even worth -1 star. I would recommend a large but shallow mug for this machine, the mug pictured is 15 oz and holds the perfect amount without being too tall to fit.

Gorgeous color for someone that doesn’t want a red, black or white appliance…and it works great so far!
I had been searching for a retro looking coffee maker that has the features my husband (permanent filter, auto shut off, warming plate, programmable) wanted but that made me happy with the look of it on our counter. I spent a ridiculous amount of time looking all over the place online for one and none of the ones available out there looked how I wanted, or the few that I didn’t hate were missing a feature or were super expensive or no longer available. I had almost given up and ordered a different, more expensive one in a color that clashed with our other appliances, until i just decided to scroll through Amazon’s offerings page by page…and then this one appeared like a magical unicorn, mocking me with its pastel prettiness that has been hiding from me. It was sold out at the time but I could still order it so I decided to take a risk and place my order without knowing when it would actually be in stock. It came pretty quickly after I ordered it (about a week later!) and it’s so beaitiful! The color is the perfect shade, like a minty aqua. I had looked at the red version of this one and know it had negative reviews but so far, we have no problems after a few weeks of 2-3 times a day use. The clock hasn’t had the problems others reported, the styling is awesome, the features work as they should and I’ve been told the coffee tastes great. It makes me happy looking at it and even my husband said he feels good using it. The brewing is a bit slow and it comes out in a way I’ve never seen before, but there is a pause feature so if you want to pour a cup before it’s done, you can.I’m not sure why this color of the coffee maker didn’t come up in my multiple searches everywhere online (it doesn’t even come up on the Nostalgia website!) but I’m so happy I stumbled across it. If you’re looking for a retro looking, pastel, functional coffee machine, then this is it! It even has retro looking font and a retro shape for carafe.My only wish would be that the machine’s top was not black but it’s a tiny thing. I’ve even considered buying a backup one in case it ever breaks. It almost makes me want to start drinking coffee and I hate the stuff! I wish all the Nostalgia items came in this color.

Works great and easy to maintain
I waited two months to post my review because I wanted to use this coffee maker for a while before I give my opinion on it. I had read the previous reviews from the past and they weren’t very positive but I liked the retro style and took my chances with it. It seems that whatever the problem was before has been resolved because this coffee maker has been working excellent for me. I normally program it at night so I can have my coffee before going to work in the morning and that works great. Easy to use and clean. The carafe is designed for large brews which comes in handy when my family comes over who are all coffee drinkers. I only have two negative things to say about this product: the display screen is extremely bright. It’s always on so I use it as a night light in my kitchen and part of my living room at night because it’s so bright. I wish it was more dimmed. The second thing is that the on/off button is the same as auto brew. If you don’t pay attention by hitting it twice you can set it for auto brew for the following day. If you only hit it once it will turn the unit off but its troublesome to leave the house and wonder if you hit the button once or twice. Other than that, I’m happy with this coffee maker. It looks amazing on my kitchen counter and looks good with my kitchen retro theme. I give it 4 stars over all. I would suggest cleaning the filter basket with vinegar and baking powder once a month to keep it clean and prevent it from getting clogged with coffee grinds.

I gave it a “4” for value – it is a coffee maker after all, however I have no problem paying a bit more for the stunning aqua blue color. It arrived well packaged and before the expected delivery date. It was easy to figure out how to use the buttons, makes great coffee – no leaks or imperfections. The retro style and color fit perfectly into my decor and I love the flat top to keep mugs on (even though I need to move them each time to fill the water and filter with coffee). Overall I give it a 5, exactly as described and a unique piece on my counter. It makes making coffee in the morning so much more exciting and I love it! **Update – before a year it began leaking from underneath, then the heater stopped working, so useless now.
