Great grinder, and better than expected
I was reluctant to purchase because some of the other reviews are negative, but I’m glad that I ultimately purchased because this grinder is great. It’s not loud, it’s actually as quiet of a grinder as you can get, and the grind itself is good and consistent. The design is good too, it looks good obviously, and it’ also easy to clean. I’m very pleased with this coffee grinder.

    does not grind for espresso
I had to send this back because I ordered it to grind for espresso but I just couldn’t. On my first few uses, it started overheating and stopped grinding. Also, even at the finest setting, it could not grind very fine at all. the grinds were very inconsistent. I would not recoommend.

Works great, a bit loud if other people are sleeping still
It is loud, but it works wonderfully. I wouldn’t trade it, but just know it is noisy. Grinds coffee evenly and smoothly and uses all of the beans.

powerful, hopper and grounds container are clear plastic
This ZWILLING 53104-701 Enfinigy burr coffee grinder works well and it’s easy to use, but the removable parts aren’t dishwasher safe and it’s fiddly to clean. The box it comes in looks large but it doesn’t actually take up that much counter space. It has a powerful motor so it grinds quickly and the grind sizes are consistent. The hopper capacity is okay. It is noisy but not more so than average for its power level. It’s made in China. The hopper and grounds container are both clear plastic and much of the body is plastic too. This is pretty typical for appliances these days, but sturdiness will be just so-so. I find that often I prefer professional or vintage machines that have more metal and glass parts, even though they are harder to find and heavier. Metal just holds up better over time than plastic.

This may be a little large but it grinds.
This is a serious grinder. Typicall I make espresso but a few times a week I want Greek or Turkish coffee. This will make powder out of beans. It can take a few minutes but works. What this is not for is grinding 1lb into a bag. It won’t do that without a making the motor very hot. I can grind fresh coffee for 6-8 espresso before it need to cool down. No regrets on this, it gets used 10 times a day.

    Disappointed, had to return
I own several ZWILLING products and looked forward to enjoying fine quality grinding experience. I was not able to use it because the coffee beans had difficulties sliding from the upper container into the grinder. Three is a round part inside the upper container that is meant to regulate the flow of the beans into grinder, and it appears to be too constricting for the type of the beans that used – standard variety from a supermarket but on the oily side. The only way to get it to work was to shake the grinder every few seconds helping few beans to make their way down. I followed the instructions precisely. I am returning this very beautiful product because I don’t want to shake this $140 grinder to get it to work.

    What a Disappointment!
I purchased this grinder based on previous excellent reviews. I am baffled that the Zwilling Enfinigy gets such good reviews. The only way to get the coffee beans into the grinding chamber is to pound repeatedly on the top of the bean storage container; then a handful of beans will drop into the grinder, and the machine will actually grind them for a few seconds, and after that, although the noise continues, it stops grinding beans until you pound on the storage container again. Even when this machine grinds coffee beans, it does a poor job of it. No matter which setting I selected, the coffee was always ground too fine. This whole experience was really frustrating. The instruction manual is laughable; I tried to call and email Zwilling Customer Service, but they basically don’t even exist. I’m returning this tomorrow.

    Smooth and (relatively) quiet operation.
I like the timer for the number of coffee portions, it’s a very useful feature. The grinder is tops in my estimation. Highy recommended.

I have now received 2 used products in a row. Both had coffee grounds left in the grinder, and on the machine body itself. How are these products making it past even a basic inspection?

Initially I was unhappy that this was advertised as glass, which I was hoping for, however, after using for a week I’ve changed my review to much more positive. It works well and grinds coffee for drip or perk or French press.Overall I’m finding that this coffee grinder is working great. So that is why I’m improving my rating.

As other reviews say, there are no glass parts. It’s a decent grinder for $100 though.
