    High Quality Tea Infuser
For decades I always used the round metal ball infuser to steep tea. The problem with those is they are VERY small and only 1/2 tbs can fit inside. This is a far superior tea infuser because it is several inches deep and it is easy to put as much loose tea leaves into the infuser as you want – you can vary the strength of the tea, by putting more or less tea leaves. I also use this to brew my coffee substitute Teccino which is made from roasted barley and chicory, vanilla, hazlenut flavoring. This is a multi purpose infuser that works with coffee substitutes and loose leaf teas. The fine mesh holes in the infuser are very tiny so absolutely NO bits of tea leaves can escape out into your tea. Nothing more annoying than sipping tea and getting bits of wandering tea leaves in your mouth! The price is quite affordable and after researching all the other brands online – this OXO is the BEST !!!!Very sturdy construction and it could easily last for decades – no parts that could break, it is a top quality item. The feature I like the most is that it has two little handles on the left and right side of the infuser – this enables the infuser to sit on top of your tea cup or mug – and then the tea leaves are sitting on the bottom of the infuser – that places the tea leaves right into the very middle of your mug, for even distribution of the seeped tea while it is brewing.

    ❣️Top Quality!
This is the best quality and designed functionality in a tea infuser/strainer I’ve encounter..I have used every tea device since 1700 era. This is perfect for an individual cup. The rubber grip on the lid means no more burned fingertips. And it a great catch all for the wet infuser to sit in without making a mess. It wonderful! I wish I had found it sooner. Heavy gauge & durable; unlike most tea infusers. Absolutely a perfect gift paired with a special tea and nice cup/mug.

    Great tea infuser
Sturdy. Easy to clean. Plenty of room for the tea leaves to do their thing. Fits in the mug just right. I purchased one for my daughter after my mother purchased one for me.

Works great after four years and counting!
Going back to do reviews on products I’ve used for a while and loved but never wrote real reviews for and this is one of them. Concept is simple, it’s durable, and the size of the holes is great for steeping loose tea. It does stain over time though, so mine is a bit more brownish after four years. Maybe a metal cleaning agent could help return it to its original shine but I haven’t tried. At $15, there are some other brands that sell for cheaper which probably work just as well but you at least know Oxo is going to work great and last, if you don’t want to take chances. I do wish you could dump the tea leaves out a little more easily because they can stick to the bottom and sides and take several seconds to pick out or rinse out, but it’s a minor complaint for a product I use every day for my morning cup of tea.

    Versatile & ergonomic
Product: OXO Tea Infuser BasketRating 4/5 (exellent)OXO is known for good quality, ergonomic and reasonably priced kitchen tools, and this tea infuser fits nicely within that paradigm.Likes:+ Tabs: They’re wide enough to fit both medium and large mugs, as well as old fashioned ceramic tea pots of varying sizes.+ Roomy: Its wide enough and deep enough to work well with a wide variety of sizes of mugs and teapots. I bought this for use with a 3 pt ceramic teapot (mostly for Assam, Gunpowder and Puer’h), but it also works fine in 12 and 16 oz mugs, and as long as the liquid level stays below the level of the tabs, it even works in a saucier pan for infusing broths and sauces.+ Strainer: the perforations in the stainless steel basket are fine enough to handle not just loose tea, but tea fannings as wellDislikes:+ Perforations: Most tea aficianados tend to prefer whole leaf tea (either loose, rolled ala gunpowder or compressed ala puer’h) over that of fannings (tea dust, which is why tea bags exist), but it’s nice to have a strainer that’s fine enough to handle both. The only drawback of I an extra fine strainer is that it reduces infusion efficienctly somewhat, because your hot water doesnt convect as freely as it could through the walls of the basket. As a result, ive found it best to periodically ‘tea bag’ the basket up & down a few times, in order to get optimal extraction, esp when infusing in larger teapots.+ Lid: The lid can be inverted to double as a tea caddy, which is nice, but I wish there was a way to lock it in place, and perhaps attach a dunking chain, so that it could be fully submerged in larger vessels.Verdict: A solid value.

    Amazing diffuser
Unlike most of this and gives you lots of room for the leaves to bloom, and it hasn’t started prematurely resting so it seems to be quality stainless steel. I really prefer these large tea diffusers over the smaller tea balls, but the previous one I had was silicone. Well I appreciated that it was easy to clean. The silicone on was collapsible and was constantly collapsing when I didn’t want it to. This one is still easy to clean but much sturdier.

    Sturdy, works great!
This is very sturdy, the holes are small enough not to leak coffee or tea but it still steeps well. I can whack the side easily to dump the grounds and it won’t break. The coffee grounds don’t get stuck in it as much as in my old mesh one, which wore out time. Super easy to rinse out, I just keep it handy in an extra mug on the counter. Which keeps the peace between my coffee-guzzling partner and me.

    Quality!
4 years later this tea hopper is still going strong! I use it almost daily for quarts of prenatal or mother’s milk tea. Occasionally I freshen it up with some Bar Keepers Friend to remove the stains – make it look like new again! Fits easily in wide mouth jars, and snuggly in a narrow mouth. My mom is ordering one now as well. Just the best product for loose leaf tea. Oxo wins again!

This is the third tea infuser that I have tried and I am glad that I persisted after sending the other 2 back, for different reasons. This one is exactly what I wanted. It is deep enough to reach the water in a fairly large cup and has lots of room for more than one teaspoon of tea. It makes an excellent cup of tea with little or no sediment at the botton of the cup. I have only had it for a few days so I cannot vouch for how long it will last but it does look sturdy, so I’m hoping it will last a long time. I find it very easy to clean and to use. Definitely recommended.

Bought this from online recommendations & wasn’t disappointed. Agree that it works much better with small loose leaf teas that usually fall through other strainer/infusers. Good overall size too & the lid/drip tray is handy
