    love it
This is just so much more elegant and efficient and all around better than what I had before! This grinder is very “uppity” and VERY well made and out of very sturdy and high quality materials. It has some weight to it, it’s non slip, it’s very precise and definitely looks and feels “high end”. The grinder itself does a great job and produces very finely ground and fantastic portion of coffee. Now, I think it’s important to understand that this is an espresso grinder and it’s not meant to grind huge amounts of coffee for a drip coffee maker. With that said, it grinds the perfect amount for an espresso. I brew mine Turkish style and it comes out great. Definitely love this grinder and would recommend it.

    Fatal flaw
I actually like this grinder, but only because I know how to repair a major flaw.First, the pros. It’s portable, it’s powerful, and it’s quiet I get about 20 double shots of espresso out of a charge, which is astounding. The powder grind is near perfect. And it is far quieter than any other grinder other than my old-fashion hand cranked mill. Now for the fatal design flaw. The tabs that lock the drive section to the grinder are plastic. They will break under the stress of grinding coffee beans. If you are lucky and you catch them before they fall off and disappear, you can use a bit of cyanoacrylate to glue them back in place. It’s not a permanent fix (glue fails too), but it’s better than tossing an otherwise fine piece of equipment. Here’s hoping the manufacturer will change over to metal for this particular part. A retrofit kit for the rest of us would be nice too.

MY MISTAKE – THIS IS A GREAT MACHINE!
My wife and I purchased this grinder back in February of this year. It looks great, well made, simple to use and cordless; and since it’s cordless we can take it with us on trips and it takes up pretty much zero countertop space when at home. We used it just about everyday for two months, and it made great tasting coffee. After ab out two months “I thought” it quit working. So, in my haste I mistakenly posted a negative comment about the product on Amazon. Not long after I received an email from Jenny with COTGCO, and as a result of this exchange she sent me a brand new grinder FREE of charge. After I received the new grinder I charged it and discovered it didn’t work either. In a follow-up exchange with Jenny, and this is fairly embarrassing to admit, I discovered that I had forgotten that it took a “double-click” (instead of a “single-click’) on the “start grinding button” clearly located on top of the grinder. I can’t explain why I forgot this simple step, but the brain cell that contained this simple step must have fallen out of my head. I let Jenny know that this was my mistake and I offered to pay for the second grinder she sent me. She graciously declined my offer and now I’m the proud owner of two grinders. I’ll probably use one of them as a gift to someone who enjoys grinding their own coffee beans with a quality product.Thank you Jenny for your patience and kindness!Gordon

really nice grinds but a little messy & over priced
so over all this is a solid grinder with one or two non critical hiccups.pros -works well. easy to make grind size adjustments. consistent grinds. easy to clean. many grinds off of one charge. maybe not as fast as blade grinders but WAY faster than manual grinding and worth the wait for consistency. sturdy!con -the grounds container is too small / short so it a) fits max 2 tablespoons of whole beans and b) it takes some technique to avoid spilling grinds all over the counter (see attached pic for manual vs this grinder size comparison)Over all – if they’d just made the grind trap a little longer, this would have been perfect. it’s a solid product and excellent for making 1 or 2 cups of pour over in the morning . I’d recommend getting it, but probably on sale. it’s worth about $45 based on the sizing error and they cheap out and only include a USB cable and not the block adapter

Works great for travel and backup
I have an old Solis Maestro (evolved into the Baratza Encore) burr grinder that is probably 18 years old and is still working as our only home grinder. Hard to believe. We live in a fairly remote part of a mountainous area and it would take me awhile to get a new grinder if the Solis fails. I use this machine every day to make coffee with an Aeropress of Fellows pour over. Also, I used to grind beans to use for making coffee with an Aeropress for travel, but I would rather grind them each day instead. So I decided to look for a portable burr grinder as a primary travel device and a backup for home.I had tried a manual grinder that was about the same price as this COTGCO unit and did not like the effort, time it took, and mess from it.Therefore I looked for a battery power unit. And I really like the COTGCO so far.I like that it is mainly metal. The battery seems to hold a charge well. The discharge holder is sized perfectly to pour into my Aeropress by inverting the Aeropress. You can then tap out the fines into the Aeropress with out spilling any.The discharge chute of the unit does have some static charge with retains some fines. But a little tapping into my Aeropress (again the grinder itself also fits into the Aeropress opening) gets most of it.Took some trial and error to get the grind range I wanted and the instructions weren’t very clear. In the end I screwed the adjuster all the way in and I recall I unscrewed it maybe 2 full revolutions to get it into the range I wanted. Once I got there, I can easily adjust for lighter and darker beans with just a few clicks in either direction. So far I really like this grinder and can highly recommend it. I won’t use it heavily and do not know about its longevity. But at this budget price I don’t think I really care.

Schmeckt perfekt.

I am a coffee lover, and have been looking for a coffee grinder but not just any coffee grinder it had to be small so you can fit it into your backpack yet powerful, light but feels expensive. I just don’t want it for home use I wanted it to go with me a portable grinder. You can use it in the car train office camping trekking, thanks to its usb chargeable battery and long lasting power and you can use a power bar to charge it also. You can use it wire free so it’s very portable and convenient. Its automatic operating ,5 grinding setting it’s got a nice aluminium anti slip body, it’s got a lock feature and double click to prevent accidental start. It’s very easy to keep clean and come with a nice dusting brush. A generous 15 grams beans compartment.Once the coffee beans has grinder it stops automatically. It makes very nice coffee for on the go and when you want to end the day with nice relaxing cup of coffee.
