    Light Roast, Whole Flavor
I’m not really a big coffee aficionado so I can’t personally attest to the flavor profile. I did not see a roast date on my package which many people commented on in their reviews. The beans were not dried and shriveled up like on other reviews.I used 2 cups of beans which wasn’t even half the bag, so hopefully this bag is good for a month of use in a 1 person/1.5 cups per day household. I mostly got this as a way to stop paying for the canned harbucks coffees in the stores which are absurdly costly and take time out of my week to get. 10$/mo is a lot better than 90$ for the cans. The cold brew did not produce a black color which shocked my coworker, but the flavor was very high after a short 11 hour brew. The flavor is significant dulled after a shot of milk and vanilla. Both my taste testers thought the coffee was great.Coffee grounds are great for composting (green material) and your coffee bean grinder can also grind dried disinfected eggshells.

One of the best tasting beans purchased so far !
I’ve been using Lavazza dark roast for some time run through a Krups espresso and would adjust flavor with grind but, I recently purchased a G3(Marzocco) and there are various ways to “adjust” the intensity, aroma , flavor… with this machine. I still have a Barista “Virtuoso” that’s going on 10 years(burr grinder) . Decided to try one of the many bean blends now available and roasted in house. You can now purchase a coffee bean roaster for your home but blending beans is the tricky part and uber retentive (at least in my part) but after several 12 ounce sampler pack I purchased here on Amazon , this one is my most favorite. It’s not an oily bean so don’t expect a lot of “crema”but , I can taste the chocolate , a little caramel and toasted brown sugar in my brew. Definitely will keep this one on my shelf !

    Bitter, no good
When I ran out of other beans, I tried these. Huge difference, this one is so bitter and stale and has no flavor. The beans were totally dry. Heed the warnings, I always attribute some bad reviews to a bad batch/ taste/ preference difference. It’s truly no good.

Great tasting coffee to switch up your normal coffee routine, might be better on pour over
This coffee surprised me—not only is it fantastic for espresso, but I’d even argue it’s better suited for pour-over. The flavors are bold, rich, and punchy, making it a unique treat in the mornings. I would highly recommend that the roaster includes more specific details about the coffee, like its origin and processing method. This would really help customers understand what gives it that intense flavor profile. That said, it’s not a coffee I’d reach for every day. The strong, complex flavors are great, but a bit overwhelming for a daily drink. A solid choice if you’re looking for something unique!

    Favorite Espresso
This is our favorite espresso I’ve found. I switched for a few months to another smaller roaster but ended up coming back to it. I have it on Subscribe & Save which is a great deal when compared to cost in store. The notes aren’t what I would think I’d go for but haven’t found anything better yet! Worth a try!

3.5… quite good, but too many sour/citrisy flavor notes for my taste
reviews of coffee are clearly subjective as people like different flavors, but I read the label speaking of “dark chocolate, raw sugar and marshmallow” and I was like “sign me up!”. I, however, was not able to taste these flavor notes in my espresso. There were hints of dark chocolate, but i tasked way more lemon and heavy sour flavors. I was able to moderate this someone by using the finest setting on my bean grinder, but it only brought me up to thinking this coffee was ‘so-so’. I think the beans were of a high quality and arrived fresh, so I’m going to try other blends from Intelligentsia with either a medium/dark or dark roast as a comparison.

    Yummy!
I am a coffee snob and love a good roast! I recently bought a jura coffee machine and have been trying different espressos. Black cat always taste so smooth and rich! I’m so happy with it and have subscribed to get it every two weeks. I can make lattes at home that taste just as good from a coffee shop.

This is the second bag I have purchased within a month. The bag was sent with the white label marked out in black. Looking closer at the marking, the best before date was intentionally covered. The item was expired on December 13, 2020.Please do not sell expired items. It is unethical and it showed the seller values money or profit over the customer’s well-being. I am very disappointed!!!
