It’s a quality ceramic product. the edges are flared just enough to keep the beans from spilling and it’s wide enough to give the beans a spritz before grinding and you’re able to reach them all at once.

You can use any cup for dosing, but here are a few reasons to get a proper dosing cup like this:1- The shape is perfect for people who like to spritz their beans with a mist of water (to prevent static and clumping) and then put their hand over the top (the cup shape fits your hand shape) and shake.2- It pours into your grinder much more easily than a round cup.3- It looks nice4- The bottom ring allows it to sit easily on some of the very small modern coffee scales.

Nice set, with caveats
Overall, I’m glad I purchased this, but it’s not perfect.1.) the mist sprayer works well for reducing static build-up when grinding beans. The rotate function seems slightly unnecessary, but works fine, so it’s OK.2.) As others have commented, the dosing cup is a bit on the small size. It’s sized for a single cup using 16-18 grams of beans. While this is a somewhat standard shape, I do find that it’s easy to knock the beans out of the cup while stirring them, so I have to carefully cradle it and go slower. Ultimately, I think a standard cup shape works better.

Quality isnât great. Arrived chipped. The funnel is very narrow, resulting in beans getting stuck. Can find a better quality product for the same price.

Love this upgrade to our espresso set up
I thought this was pointless but I really love it. It is a nice clean look on our counter top but super practical. Itâs perfect size for 17grams of beans and the beans pour right out due to the nice design. Love it.

Great addition to your coffee accoutrements. Similar to how the specialty shops for your pourover. Extra tubes as things happen and have just in case.

The shape of the dosing bowl is as beautiful as it is, practical.Scoop the beans into the bowl, measuring as you go, spritz with the atomiser, give the beans a shake (with your hand over the bowl), then pour the beans into the grinder.I use a good quality hand grinder, but static can be an issue.and I have noticed a reduction in retention, using RDS.
