Very convenient
This Snackathon Instant Bubble Pearl Milk Tea Kit comes with everything you need to make you boba tea (except the cup or glass). You get milk tea packets, boba pearls and fat straws. The boba pearls are easy to prepare in the microwave. The tea is quite tasty, but almost too “milkshakey”. That said, this kit is nice to have on hand because of how quickly you can prepare these.

Disappointing
Don’t get me wrong! I really enjoy Boba tea! Unfortunately, not this Snackathon Bubble Pearl Milk Tea Kit with Brown Sugar Pearls. I made it exactly according to directions (with water), so I know the flavors should be as intended. The strawberry tea was way, way sweet! The pearls and the brown sugar liquid with them had a fairly bitter aftertaste.Strengths:1 Price point was good–about $18.00 for a pack of 12.2 Came in a cute heavy duty cardboard box.3 Had everything you needed–the strawberry powder, the pearls, and the straws.4 Subtle strawberry flavor.Drawbacks:1 Just did not taste good. Now, I know everyone’s tastes are different, but these flavors were off–extremely sweet, bitter and artificial tasting.

Decent quick boba
The strawberry milk tea was a bit grainy and wasnât particularly sweet (I like a lot of sweetness) or flavorful. The instructions call for 3oz of water then 8oz of ice, and just⦠unless you have a measuring cup that has those measurements yours will be all over the place (like mine were). I opted for the boiling method for the boba pearls but that led to some complications since the contents were very hot which meant I couldnât get all the syrup out without risk of burns. But I did have perfectly chewy boba.Aside from the issues I had with the instructions, the drink itself turned out decent. Itâs not as good as getting it from a shop, but good enough in a pinch. This review is for, âSnackathon Instant Bubble Pearl Milk Tea Kit with Authentic Brown Sugar Tapioca Pearls, Ready in Under One Minute, Straws Included (12 Servings, Passion Fruit Mango). First, this kit does not contain the popping boba as seen in two of the pictures. I feel like this is misleading and they should choose different pictures. Aside from that, this is a nice product. The drink is flavorful and very good. You may need to play around with your water temperature. The first time I made it, I didnât get the water hot enough and found myself with some texture to the beverage. The second time, I got it too hot and ended up with a bitter drink. I added some milk to it and that took the bitterness away. Iâve tried this both with all milk and all water. You can prepare it either way. The tapioca pearls have some flavor and sweetness to them. (Iâve tried other brands where the pearls were bland.) It has quite an ingredient list, so those with sensitivities should check those ingredients first.
