Great find for a new pour over coffee user!
As someone transitioning from an espresso machine to pour-over coffee, I initially found the taste weird and didnât realize that the “funny taste” in my coffee was actually from regular paper filters I’ve been using. After some research, I decided to try these fabric filters, and wowâwhat a difference! Clean coffee taste.I also found the portable dripper to be super useful when traveling. It’s so compact and so easy to bring along on short or long trips. Good ingenious product for sure.

Reusable, economical, good quality
The product came in a regular package. The filters were well wrapped in the yellow box. It had a cute otter design in the front. It has intro and instructions on the side and the back. It is easily open with your fingers pressing the pre cut on the outter box and youâll find all the filters inside with a silicone dripper. The silicone dripper is heat durable and can be reused. Remember donât throw away the box! It can be a storage for the rest of unused filters! I feel the filters are better quality than what you see at the Dollar Tree stores. So far it works like wonders!

Perfect cup of coffee
So⦠my wife and I love our coffee. Not sure what standards must be met to be considered a coffee aficionadoâ¦but by our own standards we are! So this little silicone pour over filter and the cotton filters that come with it are a home run! We use a chemex and ottomatic at our main home and have for about the past 10 years. We love the smooth coffee that it produces everyday. At our cabin, we have a chemex and a kettle, but have become lazy and use nespresso. It also produces a wonderful smooth cup of coffee. We donât buy pods, rather we use the old pods, have some silicone lids purchased on Amazon and pack our own pods. Nothing wrong with the nespresso pods, we just prefer the coffee brand we use. So why am I talking about all of these other methods of coffee making instead of talking about this item? I am doing it to explain very clearly that this little filter set makes as great a cup of coffee if not better than both of the methods we have been using for years. At a fraction of the cost. Additionally, the silicone sleeve folds flat and the filters donât take up any room at all. Which makes this perfect for traveling, road trips, the office, college dormitories, and the list goes on. This kit comes with 80 filters. It says you can use each filter for 1-2 cups. I am guessing you can make 2 cups into a larger container such as a thermos or carafe and then pour it into the individual cups. I just used one filter for each cup of coffee I made. When you do the math it comes to about .10 cents per cup of coffee. Plus the cost of your grinds which I have calculated to run any where between .05 cents and .12 cents per cup based on your brand and where you buy them. That means you can make a perfect cup of coffee for less than .20 cents no matter where you are at. You could also brew a thermos prior to heading out on a road trip and skip the stale, bitter, burned coffee you will find at most truck stops and convenience stores along your route. I would highly recommend this purchase. Actually, I would recommend buying two. So you can brew one for yourself and one for your significant other at the same time! P.Sâ¦. Clean up is a snap!

Like the concept, several usage issues
This has two distinct parts that need to be reviewed separately, the silicone dripper and the fabric filters. That being said, together the setup is very compact and portable, great for travel.For the silicone dripper, itâs very floppy and frankly difficult to use consistently. It doesnât keep a round shape well. It wants to stay in its compact, rectangular shape. Frankly I stopped trying to use it. I have better drippers. This would work in a pinch or if I was traveling and only took this with me.For the fabric filters, Iâm mixed. First of all, the filters are plastic. Theyâre made from a non-woven, polypropylene fiber. So you have to be ok with a lot of plastic contact with your hot water. Because of this, the filters are also mostly hydrophobic, which is an odd property for coffee filters. However, they still work well and produce nice, clean cups. The water flow is pretty slow through them, so make sure the grind is a bit more coarse than you would otherwise do. Also, depending the material of the dripper, they may not stick to the sides and tend to slide down. This isnât too bad, but could be a concern. I have metal and ceramic drippers, and see an issue with slipping. It may not be as big of an issue with plastic drippers.I believe these are meant to be disposable, but I have successfully rinsed and reused filters, but the micro fines that collect do make them even slower than when theyâre new and clean.Overall, Iâm not a huge fan, but I like the concept here. I would give it 2 stars for my user experience, but I added a bonus star because of the novelty. I just think there is room for improvement.
