Nice filters
I have a pour over coffee maker that has a perforated cone that it pretty narrow. Iâve tried using it without a filter and always get some residue in my cup, and sometimes a few spare grounds. The size 4 filters come the closest to fitting, and these filters are a little longer than the smaller ones Iâve been using. This makes it easier for me to pour the water without topping the filter or having the filter fold over, so my cuppa comes out smoother with less hassle. The tab on the edge of the filter is nice and makes it easier to open them. The filter felt thin when I pulled it out of the stack and I was worried that it might tear with the weight of the coffee and water, but it held up just fine and when I later took the spent coffee and filter out of the cone, the filter felt thicker and did not tear at all. I also appreciate that the filters are unbleached. One less thing to stress about. Overall, I am pleased with the filters.

Pricey Filters, But They Do Work
The listing for these VAQINED #4 Cone Coffee Paper Filters states that these filters are easily adapted to various drip coffee machines, so I got them for my Hamilton Beach A75 12-cup coffee maker that uses #4 filters. For years, I have been using the top name brand (touted as ânumber one coffee filter brand in the worldâ) âsuper premiumâ coffee filters and they do very well, but I decided to try out this VAQINED brand filters. There is no size difference between brands, but there are subtle differences. The top name brand filters have a fine embossed texture imprinted on them, but the VAQINED have smooth like texture. I think the top brandâs texture probably makes a difference in filtering the coffee, but it is not a significant difference. Secondly, the VAQINED brand filters have a finger tap on the top of the filter where the name brand does not have this tap. I donât think the name brand filters needs this tab, but the tab seems to be helpful in opening/expanding the VAQINED brand filters in order to put coffee in them, as they seem hard to open.I feel that the consumer can evaluate pricing, so I normally do not make comments based on price in my review, but these VAQINED brand filters are price more than double than what I pay at the local department store for the name brand filters.Here is the review ranking basis that I have adopted:âï¸1 star – I don’t recommend it at all, poor quality.âï¸âï¸ 2 stars – I don’t recommend it, it has multiple faults.âï¸âï¸âï¸ 3 stars – It’s passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ 4 stars – Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ 5 stars – Product that I totally recommend.

These filters work excellent for me.
This product arrived on time. I have a new coffee maker and these coffee filters are the perfect size and work so well. They filter the coffee in the allotted time and are excellent to make sure the grains of coffee do not get through. I use these filters with ground coffee and/or ground coffee beans. At the current price point, these coffee filters are an excellent value for me and will be purchasing again.

Currently a bad value, and I’m not sure they taste great.
These seem to work fine, but the current price is quite bad.Also, I thought these had more of a weird papery taste & smell than the unbleached Melitta. I got that impression the first few cups I made with these, and now I can’t shake it. I’m not sure if I’m imagining it at this point but I’m just going back to the Melittas.

They were delivered promplty and I have had no problem with them falling apart or tearing or anything like that. No off odor or flavor.As a Vine reviewer I try to provide good information. My scale:Most things will start at 4 stars.It gets that extra star only if it is outstanding.It loses stars for issues- bad sizing, poor quality.One star if is is not suitable for purpose or for gross misrepresentation.

Great unbleached coffee filter
These are very good filters – I typically use the Amazon Basics brand, but gave these a try. I like the little tab at the top – it really does help to separate the sides to open the filter. I don’t notice any weird taste being passed into the coffee, and they fit like every other #4 filter I have used. The only reason I deducted a star was due to the price when compared to Amazon Basics, which at the time of writing this review are half the price. But when comparing to other brands of filters, the price is pretty much on par. The only difference to note between the two filters is Amazon is bleached and these are unbleached, which some people care about. I know my coffee maker recommends bleached – but I’ve used both kinds and don’t notice any taste or performance difference. So for an unbleached filter these are great.

Perfect for Ninja DualBrew
I ordered these filters for my Ninja DualBrew coffee machine and they work great. The paper is sturdy and doesn’t fall apart at all. I often grind my own beans and find that the paper filters are better than the reusable ones at stopping any coffee grounds getting in the coffee. I recommend these!
