I just started making matcha at home and have been really happy with this set. It arrived in a nicely padded box that contained printed instructions in both English and German. The design and color of the chawan tea bowl and whisk holder are what really caught my eye and are just as pretty in person. All of the items in the set have held up well with daily use and washing. I know there are lots of different types of chasen whisks out there that vary in design and quality so I wanted to note that I’ve been very pleased with the results I am getting with the whisk included in this set since it gives me the perfect froth every time. I’m always searching for new gift ideas and think this set would be a very thoughtful and affordable gift for someone who wants to start their matcha journey. Makes a wonderful gift for someone interested in making their own matcha drinks at home if you can’t get to Japan! It contains all the components needed to make your own matcha drinks, and it the bowl feels heavy and high quality. I love the rest for the chasen so it can dry properly and hold its shape.I forgot to pick up a chasen while in Japan, so having this whole kit is really nice to use since it has everything needed and is durable for near daily use.

Solid Matcha Set. Love the color and has everything you need. The bowl feels solid and had weight to it. Feels like good quality. One issue was the whisk. It frayed a little so just be careful to check for splintering so it doesn’t break off. I might get a better whisk but other the rest seems like good quality.
