    I love these teabags!
These are the best teabags! I love Starbuck’s Honey Citrus Mint tea, but it uses two different teabags, neither of which can be disposed of in the compost because they are made of some very fine mesh plastic-y stuff. I ordered loose teas from Adagio teas to approximate the Honey Citrus Mint blend and was able to get the recipe right, or at least very acceptable to me. But tea balls and strainers are a pain when I want to put my tea in my insulated tea bottle to take to work. These are the first teabags I have found that are compostable and ALSO have that lovely 3-D shape that allows the teas to bloom and to release their full flavor. These bags are big enough to hold tea for a large tea bottle (24oz). They also have pleasingly long strings. The drawstrings allow you to tie off the bag so that no leaves escape into the tea water. I have had no problem with tea seeping through the very fine material of the bag, but I haven’t tried them with a very fine tea. The Honey Citrus Mint is part fruit tea and part green tea with lemongrass and mint. The green tea has some very small tea particles and those haven’t escaped. I spent a lovely hour listening to music, drinking tea, and making up a couple of dozen faux “honey citrus mint” teabags (with both teas in one bag). I store them in one of Adagio’s borosilicate glass storage jars, so it’s easy to grab one, fill up my tea bottle with hot water, and head out the door. (Unfortunately, it is now too hot for tea, but they will be waiting for me when the rains come!) The bags do not impart any flavor to the tea that I have noticed.Wish I could say more good things about these teabags. I wish Adagio would carry these instead of the pyramid-shaped non-compostable ones they sell. Not only is it better for the environment, but why would I want to put that plastic-y stuff into my body, anyway? One possible downside of these is that they are made from corn fiber, so might be a problem for people with corn sensitivity. Also, I don’t know whether the corn used is GMO or not.

    Strong Quality
I make homemade tea and I always use these over the other tea bags I’ve purchased previously. Enough space for dried herbs to sift in hot water for tea and no weird taste from tea bag. Also thick material yet easy for sifting. Would definitely purchase again.

    Awesome tea bags
I love these bags. It’s the perfect size for a large mug of tea (about 18oz), fits up to 2 tsps of loose tea with enough room for free expansion, closes tightly – nothing escapes into the cup, and it makes brewing loose tea a breeze. What’s not to love? I’ve tried a few other types of bags, and they were not nearly as nice – too stiff (would float to the top of the cup), or too big (take up half the cup), etc. These are just perfect.

    Excellent shape and size
Easy to fill with tea, string closure doesn’t allow tea leaf spillage. Water flow very good. Can use the same bag twice.

    Works well!
Needed something to use my loose teas at work that was disposable. These work well. I’m trying to figure out an easy way to tie them off as tea leaves will escape out of the top. Found best to keep the top out of the water. But does not seep any flavor like others I’ve tried. I use it all day and it holds up.

    blessing for loose leaf tea
easy to dispose of, no cleaning tea leaves from a metal filter. no plastic particles from ready made filters offered by some tea distributors. also handy to use to hold spices in when making sauces or soups.
