I’m not sure if I misread the dimensions or I simply have a very poor concept of size when trying to visualize things (I lean toward it being the latter), but this gorgeous piece of woodwork is absolutely *huge* and incredibly unique compared to other charcuterie boards out there. It’s very much a conversation starter and a *centerpiece!*The listed dimensions are accurate, and the board comes with four stainless steel utensils (cheese knives and a two-pronged carving / cocktail fork) neatly stored beneath the serving area, and two dip / sauce bowls.Some things to keep in mind before ordering this beautiful statement piece:1) The size (part 1): if my dining table weren’t so large this would dwarf everything else on it (except that one old inherited serving platter)…2) The size (part 2): it has to be stored somewhere when not in use… I suggest keeping the box it comes in because in many homes it will probably be on top of the fridge.3) Frequency of use: if you don’t host a lot of parties that need a larger charcuterie tray this may simply be too large for your needs.4) Layout: Most of the weight of your spread absolutely NEEDS to be placed toward the center/inside of the tray or it may cause the ‘wings’ to pop off… not sure how easily fixable it will be if that should occur (thankfully it hasn’t happened to mine, but I can easily see where it could).5) Non-microwavable dip cups: As listed in the description, the cups are *melamine* which is *NOT* microwavable. (Honestly, to me melamine looks like cheap plastic and, frankly, it’s ugly against the real beauty of the tray which is a bit disappointing given the price of the set, BUT … that’s entirely a personal preference matter. Easily solved for me as I have a lovely Pyrex set I can use instead, but definitely something to keep in mind.)6) Care: This is definitely a “gently use a damp cloth to clean it right after clearing it off and do NOT leave it soaking in water” kind of item. It will also benefit from periodic mineral oil rubs (just like wooden cutting boards). So if ultra low maintenance is your kitchen preference, this might not be the right item for you.Overall, this is truly a lovely item, incredibly giftable for the right person, and I fully expect it to last for *years.* I’ve already recommended it to one of my cousins who has to bring “fancier” offerings to frequent work potlucks.

This is a cute, fairly well-designed charcuterie board. The yin/yang pieces float open easily, and they are held in their optimal places by magnets. I thought that would make the board more stable, but it is still easy to dislodge one of the “wings” from the board if you press on the rounded part when the board is in the “open” position. This is because the peg hole for one of the wings is larger than the other, so it comes off the peg more easily than it should. This may cause some party fouls, unless you put something under the one rounded side to keep it flush with the base.The tray design is good – the two wings are bordered by a lip which helps keep the food in place. The cheese knife storage is a nice touch, keeping the knives with the board for compact storage and easier location of accessories. And when in use, the cutouts for the knives could be used for smaller crackers or other dry items (anything wet would make for a cleaning challenge). The silicone “feet” provide surface protection to keep the tray from scratching your table or counter. The bamboo material makes the board strong but lighter weight than wood, easier to store it in out-of-the-way places (not too hard to get it off a high or very low shelf, for instance). The knives are of reasonable quality, with a good variety of blade styles to cover different cheese/meat options.The board is easy enough to clean as long as you don’t immerse it in water for any length of time – warm soapy water with a rag or soft sponge works fine. The ability to take apart the pieces makes that an easier job. The bowls provided are cute, and they go in the dishwasher – but not being able to microwave them makes them less useful if you like serving things like drawn butter or melted cheese spreads. You might be able to use 1oz ramekins, or even disposable charcuterie cups, if the base is the right size, but these will generally hold more stuff (they are cylindrical trapezoids where most ramekins are straight cylinders).This would make a nice house-warming gift – it comes well-packaged for transport and would be easy to wrap (simple square box). The price is competitive, given its versatility and overall design.
