I bought a nine tin variety pack, and because tastes vary, I will try to describe universal attributes.Iâm reviewing English Breakfast (EB), China White (CW), and Rose Black (RB-Iâve forgotten the precise name).1. Tea leaf quality: Only the CW leaves were not crushed. EB and RB were quite small and crumbly. My personal test is that if the leaves fit perfectly in the 1 tsp scoop, theyâre too small. If I have better luck pinching them in my fingers to add to the infuser, theyâre just right. The RB contained a nice whole dried rosebud.2. The box they arrived in was crumpled on one end. I attribute this crumple to the fact that Amazon shipped the sampler in a large padded envelope with little protection. If you plan to gift these, expect to repackage them yourself. Environmentally, the packaging is fine minus the envelope.3. Favorite teas were CW and BR, but I will not be buying the larger sizes or anything else from this brand. Iâve had better results with the brand that rhymes with the Spanish word for an afternoon nap and wholeheartedly recommend their black tea sampler.I hope this review helps you choose. Ultimately, trust your tastebuds. These samplers are a good way to see what you like, and more importantly, discover what you donât.
